--------------------
Khrone's warriors fight for blood until they can fight no longer, and are doomed to the peace of death.
--------------------
Nurgle's children have always preyed for the ending of their sufferings, in turn they become carriers of pestilence.
--------------------
Tzneetch's minions are always thinking, plotting, and are finallly driven insane by the mutations that ravage their mind.
No real point to this thread, just thought it was interesting how the gods themselves defeat their purpose.

That's the truth behind chaos/evil. They grant you greater power than others can give you, but in the end that power will either destroy you or kill you one day.

Who cares, it's all Chaos... so we mortals can not understand. We can only follow....follow under Grandfather Nurgle's banner that is...
|
This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Reminds me of a short story in Let the Galaxy Burn, The Lives of Ferag Lion - Wolf, about a champion of Tzeentch where it tells you the story of his life up until the point of his death, the twist is that at the very end it's Tzeentch reveals the true nature of what the guy was and the main character dies not knowing what his true life was, going totally bonkers before he snuffs it.

Feel like I kind of need to stand up for my patron on this one.
I dont believe that slaanesh is so much of a paradox as it still plays into the worship of EXCESS.
The more and more worshipers indulge in sensory experience and stimulation the more numb they become to it so they are on an ever climbing ladder of excess always trying to find the next high unit they ultimately OD or get themselves killed. Either way I dont believe that slaaneshes servants ever truly become numb they just step up there partying game till they wind up dead in the gudder of sunset blvd..... wait what? lol Automatically Appended Next Post: P.S. There is only ZULE! srry just saw ghost busters, zules a new chaos god to me.

No offense, but when you die in 40k your soul goes to the screaming hell-dimension called the Warp where you float in a realm of fear and hatred until a lesser daemon eats you. Life, by contrast, tends to be far more oblivious.
And as to the OP, that's the whole point of Man vs Himself conflicts; eventually everyone loses, even while they're winning.

Actaully not every human soul goes to chaos, when most people die they go to the emperor as they fervently pray to his crippled body in the golden throne. So I imagine death (if ur not sacrificed to chaos) would be rather peacful for most imperials.
Shenra wrote:Khorne deamons dont die...they are immortal
All daemons are immortal, they die and just come back in the warp and repeat.

Isn't that the whole point of Chaos. Nothing is supposed to make since and everything is possible even the possibility that something will be impossible
Chaos overlaps on itself all the time, I don't think that the gods have any plans they just exist to exist and do what they do and if things get confusing then who cares because that's the nature of Chaos. I also think that the Gods themselves are just the second highest rank in the pantheon. We all know that Lesser and Greater Daemons are an extension and a facet of their gods will, well what if the gods themselves are just a facet, extension and servants of an even greater entity that is pure Chaos itself.

There's a rather nifty speech at the end of the otherwise sloggish book, Daemon World, about the fate of a [more thoughtful than usual] Chaos Champion: "Eventually, you begin to understand. The power you have isn't power at all. You could run a million kilometres and the gods would still own you.... nothing you have ever done is your own." As for faithful Imperials going to the Emperor's side, if that is even possible I doubt that it's a peaceful or pleasant fate. More than likely you just get ground down and used up in the struggle with Chaos. Either way, you're nommed.

No. Apparently people really do join the Emperor they join his soul or something like that. It's a bit odd andmetaphysical but as long as they are still faithful when they die and aren't sacrificed in ceremony to chaos or something else they join Big E.
