Thought I'd start a Dark Eldar thread for everyone who has purchased some of the new models

Nice to see a return to purple - I always think of it as a traditional DE colour but all the new kids on the block seem to be neon-themed.

Colour scheme is lovely, I think the direct sun is bleaching it a bit though, cant wait to see finished shots /thumbsup

Wanting to see some reavers up here.

Here is my Raider and a test model for my colour scheme. The scheme itself has evolved quite a bit since the first test model and things are also a lot tighter now. I have since removed the "glow" around the green eyes as it really wasnt working for the model. I have also changed up the tabard colour as I was finding the red was starting to get overpowering. I also added black to the leather under-suit.

Nice models dammit I might have to give them a try after i finish my dwarfs!

I just got some from a tourney yesterday (I came in last with 9 points). I'll be posting them tomorrow.

Wow, That is one generous tournament. I'm pretty sure my lgs doesn't even give out a prize for first place. (Hong Kong. Most unfriendly, arrogant, brazen place ever, sadly it is the only store in Hong Kong that sells warhammer)

Not sure if I'm a fan of the purple as yet, I'm thinking red maybe better but possibly to much red over all..

Got into my local hobby store and saw them on saturday. They also has some already built. Awesome looking models....definately inspired to start a Dark Eldar army. I have too mnay projects right now to start a new army, so I satisfied my thirst for DE with the new Codex. They really gave them a boost of fluff!

I wont be getting any til after yule unfortunately, but I dont think its too early for this thread at all! Thats what I came looking for and I thought there'd be way more. Havent been into our GW yet, no doubt it will be chaotic.

Nice Archon! Also very nice Raider. Think I would stray away from the way that GW has painted them. Everyone seems to be sticking to that bluey greenish colour around the recesses of the raider.

No Idea's on colours myself yet.

My FLGS doesn't appear to be getting them. I asked when they were going to be in and from what I understood of his response they aren't getting them at all (I could be mistaken though).

I want to do a dark green scheme like the Black Heart, but a red scheme might be good too.

Have yet to get a chance to paint mine, but I love all of the new models. Will have a squad of Hellions, 2 raiders, a ravager, and two squads of Warriors by this weekend, so they should look fairly nice when painted. Personally I'm not a fan of how GW painted them, I'll probably do mine in the same fashion as Phil Kelly painted his.
