Just wondering if any one has heard anything about a black box game for this Holiday season?

There were rumours of maybe Space Crusade or HeroQuest or Mordheim or Necromunda... So ya nothing solid, just a bunch of wishlisting.

Looks like they replaced a black box this year with the not insignificant releases of DE, UM movie and the warhammer scenery sets.

December hardly ever sees a new release, just a bunch of re-releases and "special" deals.

Whispers and wish-listing I suppose. There has been plenty of fodder to feed rumors and speculations, but ultimately nothing has come to fruition.

Last year Dec go the the FoR for the DA's....Kinda a big release, all new kit at least that we knew existed since Planet Strike came out in the summer.

Well apparently the Storm Raven is done. But no, no rumors.

Just thought i would ask.I was hoping for a new Ed. of Blood Bowl with the new Legendery Ed.Being released wich includes alot of team make overs.Well one could wish for a new Ed.Or one of the old board games being brought back.Heroquest or Space Crusade expansion for Hulk.Just ideas or dreams.

I'd love to see a return of Blood Bowl, and was really surprised they haven't done anything with that considering the release of the video games.

A new Necromunda would be the coolest damn thing, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. Even the Stormraven isn't coming out for Christmas from what I can tell, since the leaked image is from a painting guide online lifted from February's WD. There's enough other awesome stuff around though, so it's no biggie.

New epic would make me a happy boy. 1 box, tons of plastic sprues for IG and Orks and call it done. Make sure there's a gargant and titan or 3 in there.

Iknow how you feel.The gaming convention in my area has a man o war tourney each year. But they use legos! Different i guess.

Also no offense to anybody but after playing 40k for twenty years off and on im kinda burnt on it.Thats why i took up blood bowl again.Also most of the people in my group are in late twenties plus and they cannot afford to be spending alot of money on models.They really like the 40k armies but tend to shy away when they start thinking of the cost when they see that a good armies run in 1000 plus range in money.sorry but family first.So thats one the thing about blood bowl dont need to spend loads of time on painting and money on troops.I know my guard army has cost me alot.

Probably one of the reasons that GW dropped BB support like a stone - it requires little buy in beyond the initial outlay for the boxset and maybe one or two teams. Compared to 40K and WHFB, it must be small beans sales-wise.
