While it is old news, it is exciting. In the sense that if new plastic crisis suits ever emerge, they may well look more like these chaps.

What really surprised me was a lot of people on another forum actually preferred the GW-style to the new X-9. Yes, I know those things are subjective, but I presume they wrote this before going outside and getting into their Ford Mongoose while snorting derisively at a passing Nissan 350

i prefer the boxier xv8 chassis, it lends them an air of ruggedness and the sleek aesthetics on the x9 just make me think of mecha anime. i never had that impression with the xv8.

p.s. you can't blame mongoose owners, the nissan 350 looks like junk.

They're nice but I still prefer the XV89. Use one as my Shas'O.

I detest the XV8 suit models, so I shall continue to hold out hope that when it finally comes time to revamp the line, the XV8s look a bit more like the 9s.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there are only rules disputes.

I bought a X9 about a year ago IIRC. It is fine but considerable larger than normal Crisis Suits.
So for normal games, I still prefer the XV89s.

You would rather use that boxy monstrosity? Do you mind if I ask why, surely not just for LoS in 5th?

The rules are awesome too. Since everyone else is getting Forgeworld toys in thier codexes, Tau better get XV9's.
