I am failing to see a rules question here.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Yea, but every 1 or 2 rolled kills a full model. I'd say vindicators are definitely the best way for space marines. Eldar Pathfinders do a great job of killing thunderwolf cavalry too-yes, I speak from experience as the Eldar. Of course, 50 sniper shots to kill 6 wolves...ouch

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

In the picture what you really don't see is the little wolves that i bring with each Lord, so there are 6 little ones running with their master. Vindicator i'm not scare of, plus i would place a wound on the Lord w/Saga of Bear. Feel the Mightiness of the Thunder Cav

I played against Null Zone Libby, Vindicators, and IG manitcore. Null Zone, I have my Lords that has Wolftail Necklace 5+ against Psychic, or my Rune Priest that has a 4+ against it Psychic. Now for the Vindicators, the only ones that are a problem is BA, just because they are fast. SW, SM or any other SM Codex sucks, because they are too slow and my Long Fangs has their number. The most i seen a Vindicator hit was three, I;m going to place them on the wargear, the little wolves and I have six of them.

I was under the impression that the wolves them selves are models that would just die to the template and the more models you have under the template the more wounds you take so adding little fenrisian puppies to the mix makes your situation worse not better. Only the Lord with the Saga of the Bear is not killed outrigth by the Strength 10 Template so after the pups are killed every failed save costs you minimum an 80 point model. If each Vindicator only kills two it has more than made its points back.

A smart Codex player also already had his Chapter Master drop his template on your head as well, so you probably lost one or two at that point, or at least some of your ablative wounds. Everything can die in this game and while Thunderwolf Cavalry is a good unit it is not unbeatable, even if backed up with all the Wolf Lords.

Assuming you gave all of the riders Storm Shields and one of them a Thunder Hammer, without anything else you are talking about 435 points or thereabouts. And your Wolf Lords with the required upgrades are running you between 250 - 280 points apiece so your eight marines and six wolves come in at about 1235 points?

So with just the most basic, cheapest troop choices available to you, you are at about 1385 points or so? Does not leave much for Long Fangs or anything else in a standard game. The Thunderwolf Cavalry army for Space Wolves can be pretty tough but certainly is not the unbeatable force you want to make it sound like.

Okay, here's why you failed. You see how your infantry are carefully spread out into a line? You needed to layer your squads so that he can't multi-charge and has to kill them one game turn at a time while you shoot his ass to grass.

Secondly, what are your Assault Marines doing near your own deployment zone? Why aren't they downfield murdering Long Fangs?

It's like you bent over in front of a Keeper of Secrets and wonder why your butt hurts...

Now you go to a Tournament, I traveled alot around GA and FLA. Most of these players never played against me or know what i'm going to bring. This eliminates the whole "Meta Game" so,everthing that ya'll posted are great, but lacks expirence of tournament play.
I'm not agruing with anyone, but til ya'lls play against me, you will never know the outcome. The Next Tournament I'm going to be at is on DEC 12 @ GigaBytes Cafe in Marietta GA 1850. The following month Jan 21-23 I'm going to at Bolter Beach 2.
