The only character to ever die in the origional series G.I. Joe cartoon was named "grunt". And he didn't exactly die, just got left behind in a paralell dimension during the first season and was never seen again. They may as well have named him "redshirt".

"Grunt" was my first G.I.Joe toy when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I was mad that they took him out of the cartoon so I saved up my allowance for a "Snake-Eyes" toy (the one before the kung fu grip when all their arms all straight and rigid)

This turned out to be a great investment for an 8 yearold because saving up my allowance for a few weeks ended up paying off $100 dollars for me 15 years later from some smelly guy at GenCon back when I was a broke college kid.

My R2d2 from when I was 4 got me $150, despite being very worn and played with.

The best toy though... was the C3Po that came apart and went on chewie's back in a cheap plastic harness.. he went for $200.

GIJoe taught kids that guns always miss, and M16s fire laser beams and helicopters blowing up always results in a parachute... essentially... nobody dies when you fight. Then gave a public service announcement. Kids that grew up watching those cartoons are now serving in the middle east and getting their limbs blown off by IEDs.

You rarely notice these kind of things on your own. (useless fact)

All the significant female characters in the G.I. Joe series hold some kind of "leadership" role.. but are never the actual leader of either group.

Many of the characters used as mascots by ships were drwn by cartoonists such as Walt Disney and his employees.

Meaning that some of them are indeed valuable.

Hugh Laurie (aka Dr. House) actually has an English accent. He just fakes it for the show.

The word Daschund means "Badger Hound" in german. Although in Germany they have two classifications, Dackel and Teckel. The difference being that those wishing to be a Teckel must go through testing.

Both receive a blood test for pedigree, and if it is a pedigree the dog receives a tattoo under one ear and is called a Dackel. If the dog can follow a 48 hour old blood trail it receives another tattoo in the other ear and is then called a Teckel. The Teckels are then trained as hunting dogs.

The floppy ears and curved tail were bred into the species so that dirt couldn't get into the dog's ear canal and the curved tail makes them more visible in tall grass similar to the velociraptors in Jurassic Park. The tail also allowed them to be pulled from holes in the ground if they got stuck.
