Careful Vik
There are itinerants and street traders that would be cool, but just be careful of Shrike
If he tries to get you to have a hot dog stall just say no

nothing new... just did some ebay to get me more kits and stuff...speaking of kits...my kid felix is with me, he is a bit ill, so i hope i will be getting to do some hobbywork in the evening...
Viktor von Domm wrote:lol...why do you have so many breaks^^
to make up for the fact that WE DON'T GET PAYED. £5 a week isn't enough to effectively support a hobby like this, which is why us kids either have paper rounds to make a little extra, or get into cheap, unimaginative hobbies, like blowing £200 quid on a games console, and then playing that for 3 years.
You can donate just £5 a month to help save children's hobbies. You'll recieve a free donator's pack with a poster and regular updates of how your child's doing. And together, we CAN make a difference. ^^

felix is still ill, but he is now in is nap sleep for midday...(speach impediment...^^)
begging kids in front of a GW... now that would be a sight for sore eyes...would be nice to see what happens and how the redshirts would react...
but i still completed the fourth base deko of the sandbag barrier...and did a small tryout of a bit of sculpting with FIMO...tried myself out to make a dead tree...we will see what came out of the oven later...
tell felix that there's a strange teenager in england that hopes he gets well soon!

well its only smell...and this means i am still alive...rotting flesh doesnt smell after berries^^ i suppose^^
so then to show some lifesigns in tabletop means i will present my first four sandbagbarriers as advertised...they are now fully cured and the former squishy FIMO is now as hard and durable as plastic...
also i had a little go ad modeling a dead tree... maybe i use him for base decorating or i will make a terrain piece from it...we´ll see...
so here are now the pics...:
as you can see i have not acomplished a uniform look of sandbags here...goes to show i have much to learn in the art of sculpting...
tell me what you think about the tree...should i stick to simpler forms for now or am i on the right way here (though at the beginning)
Add some lichen to the tree, then it'd look better. I know you're going for the "dead tree" look, but there's colours of lichen that pass as dead/scorched foliage.

how should i do that? on 28mm scale what wopuld lichen look like? never done that... and besides i dream the dream of a muddy table...lichen would be a bit off topic then?
by the way my wife said to me the tree looked a bit like a kid had its way with putty...*sobs*
make some grooves into it...
brown lichen would work, I use lichen all the time, it's great- when you have some left over, just dump it on the table- instant bush!
just rip it apart and glue on!
this might help:
