I make 75-80% profit when I order large orders with free shipping. I don't do it really for the money. Its so it can pay for my sons hobby and give me something to do now that I'm retired.
Its not the best paying job but it has its perks, as mentioned above. That's why I'm worried to be linked here when it has nothing to do with me.
The third is Great.Hobby.Bits
Lord.Serpius - What I started with, my son made the name.
Great.Hobby.Bits - Made when I realized I didn't want to use the account he created to sell just FW parts as I and my son do use Lord Serpius to buy things off of ebay.
Double.Your.Bits - That's my eBay store.
Before you think people cant have more then 1 account, they can and do. This way things are kept organized. One for personal, one for weekly auctions and 1 for my store.
I'll go ahead and be blunt again, listing the user names here where people already say I'm Mr Bonder worries me greatly. He seems to have many people out to get him and I don't need some person attacking me because they think I'm him.

Thanks, Sekai. We can separate out the identity issue from whether or not the items are genuine- those certainly look to be, however I'm no expert either way.
Lord.Serpius, you mention 3 ebay accounts: I only see double.your.bits and lord.serpius, what's the third?

I didn't see your edit asking that, look up. I listed all 3.

Okay, thanks.
It really could be a case of unfortunate circumstances- i.e., you happen to be in the same city as Matthew Bonder, have a hard-to-track storyline, etc... hopefully, the fax will clear it up for me, and if you send it to me I'll post in the thread saying so.
However, I'm still 50/50 as I felt this way when communicating with MiniatureWargameCo@gmail.com and being given other names/backgrounds and the like for the people I was supposed to be communicating with. At times it was quite convincing, and it made me feel bad to be asking so many questions... but in the end it turns out those "people" I was communicating with were fakes. Makes it hard to tell who's real and who's not!
So, I'll look for your fax on Monday to validate what you're saying here... thanks.

That's understandable and I don't hold a grudge. I know the fax will clear it up, namely im a woman . What all info would you like? Ebay and paypal wanted a lot of stuff. For my DL can I block out my DL number and you can see my picture, name and address? Or do you want the DL number too? Id trust you wont send it to others unless you do black out my DL number.
Anytime of day is ok to fax it?

Blocking out the DL number would be fine, I'd expect you to do as much. If you're doing so digitally you can simply email it to me, I'm not sure how you'd block it out on a fax. Morning is best, but anytime is fine, just put "Attention: Steve Garber" on the page somewhere.
The multiple ebay accounts is suspicious, too... but as I said, it could be a perfect storm of circumstances that are making things look bad, but everything has an explanation. BUT, I've felt that way before... and it turned out to be false...

Yeah but you sell a heap of bits simultaneously though Great.Hobby.Bits and Double.Your.Bits. Just seems a bit of a complicated set up. Anyway, perhaps alarmingrick will come back and clarify how he linked to your store from MWC because that's how your name came into it.

Yeah, that's the problem- there are a lot of loopholes... and the answers are a bit odd, too. But that's not a crime... just an indication that things might not be totally on the up-and-up. One thing that bothered me was the mention of the FW bits being genuine in a lot of the Swapshop postings. I don't know, I've found that to only be mentioned when people have something to hide... as otherwise, you just assume it's geniune- there's no other option.
All circumstantial- if a convincing ID is indeed sent to me, that might clear it up in my mind... but we'll see if that happens...
Edit: Yeah, let's see what alarmingrick has to say about how he was linked over to that ebay site from the Miniature Wargame Conversions site. I don't see any links to it, but it's possible they were removed...

Great is for weekly auctions. Double is a store. Its actually much easier on me this way. To each their own I guess hehe.
I hope he does come here, and quickly too. I want to see how he linked me to all of this. I went over his link and while there were a ton of links there, none seemed to come to my store. Then again, I'm half blind.

Another small issue... but there are many in this case. You said you had to leave for work (after saying you are retired, then clarifying that it is charity work for your church) in 25 minutes an hour ago... did you decide to skip it to deal with all this?
The details are what's bothering me. Matt would often provide excrutiating (false) detail like this (i.e. your being half blind) and sort of play dumb/innocent when he had me almost convinced.
Also, your PM'ing me to have the link removed a few times now... why can't it wait until Monday? I really don't think someone is going to spitefully buy one of your auctions based on this thread and leave poor feedback in the next day. Let's get all the facts out, first...

I mentioned it because after my post on the older stuff I got in a trade was a different color, I was worried and hence, posted here asking peoples opinions. In the end I never sold those parts and my son simply used them.
I provided a picture of over 100 FW bags and at least as many spure blocks. Recasters don't buy that much stuff. Should I post the invoice slips from FW for each kit? They total over 2k US. Would that help?
This is actually starting to upset me. I'm now running late, spending time defending myself when this thread isn't about me and no one, anywhere, has ever questioned my products. Go read my feedbacks, please, really, go read them. On all 3 together over 250 transactions in 6 months. All positive. All with 5 stars as well.
So now I'm not on the up and up? How? What have I done wrong besides give into everything you've asked for and included even more info that's personal and I shouldn't even have to explain.

Yes, I am worried. Ive read this thread for 2 weeks now. Ive seen how many people want to do him harm anyway they can. Now someone comes in and posts a link to MY store and I'm not supposed to be worried?
You're even going so far as to basically say I am Mr Bonder.
And yes, I was running so late because of this I'm not going. So because I'm here defending myself, that is more proof I'm "him"?
Give me a break. Automatically Appended Next Post: Sekai wrote:If someone accused you of being Matthew Bonder, wouldn't you be upset?

As I said, just trying to get the facts out- let's see what alarmingrick has to say about how he was linked to the site.
Being upset isn't the problem- the language and the odd storyline is...
Again, I'm not drawing any conclusions, just asking questions. In my opinion, genuineness of the product and identity are two separate issues...
Hopefully the fax will clear it up and if so I'll post here saying so. But I've been led on by Matt about getting a fax of his Driver's License a number of times, so that's why I'm a bit skeptical as to whether I will receive one...
Again, it's hard to know what's real and fake when he's quite convincing. But your latest post doesn't make sense. To post this line now: "You're even going so far as to basically say I am Mr Bonder." is just odd... that was the very first premise based on what alarmingrick posted.

You and he are saying it. He clearly said it and you hint around at it.
As for saying nothing will happen in 1 day.. Ive already gotten 6 offers for random items in my store. Whats funny is the offer is always 1 dollar. When people make an offer they see my address. Clearly people from here are doing that to get my address. Explain that to me after saying im over reacting about this.

I'm not sure if you understood what I meant- I thought that was an odd thing for you to say since that is what alarmingrick was suggesting in his first post, he laid it out clearly. I also said in my first post that I wanted to look into this and rule out the possibility that the account could be Matt's, but wasn't drawing a conclusion one way or the other yet.
I don't have much more to add until alarmingrick comes on here to post how he was linked to the page, or you email or fax me any of the items you mentioned you were willing to send.

Okay, I'll look for your email. Also, to repost what I'd put as an edit above since I'm not sure if you saw it:
My gut feeling is the problem that your storyline changes rather fluidly. You've given an explanation for every question raised, but it is always the one that fits the bill for the moment... it is similar to how I felt when dealing with "Jeff" and "Damien". As I said, hopefully you will fax or email the information you said you were willing to, and that will clear it up for me... if there is an excuse given and that is not done, it would raise my suspicions quite a bit... as it would be a repeat of the dance I did with "Damien" for quite a while.
Will post here after seeing what you send via email, as well...

I will say this one last time. I'm not Mr Bonder. I'm not the other names you said. I have sent you more then enough evidence on my accounts and the validity on the quality of my products. As the email states and the Pm I just sent, I will provide the actual ID tomorrow if needed as well. No excuses, just look at my feedback to see I don't play around. Ive already sent you 4 various pictures.
1 showing a giant box of tons and tons of FW bags, as well as over 100 FW sprue blocks.
1 showing over 20 FW invoice slips.
1 showing my actual ebay account address page along with my full name.
1 showing a credit card with my name since the state IDs here are shiny as all get out ill have to fax / scan it tomorrow so you can read it clearly and see it matches the ebay info page.
My story isn't fluid. My story is my life. I am also a very private person and even stating what I have feels like an invasion of my privacy. But if I didn't do it, you would all keep saying I'm Mr Bonder. Absurd.

I thought the pictures were pretty inconclusive, unfortunately... I've PM'ed you a few possible picture ideas that I think would be more convincing and very easy to do, since you're using a webcam... obviously, you don't have to send them, it's really up to you: but I can't say that what you sent convinced me yet.

Because RiTides now wants me to take a picture of my ID with me holding it up. Something I will not do. I will however do what I agreed and thats have it faxed / scanned over to him along with all the other proof I've already provided. Im going to go ahead and post them here then as well. I will however block out my last name and CC number unlike what I did for you.
My ID however will go right to you. I do not want that posted publicly.

The three pictures are inconclusive...
1. Invoices arrayed in a pile not showing name or address
2. The edge of a card showing a name
3. A screenshot showing a name and address (which as a screen shot, could easily be photoshopped, so it's not conclusive)
If you don't want to send a picture of yourself holding any of the items, the ID you offered to scan Monday will be fine, and we'll have to wait. But as I said before, I went through this dance with "Damien" and never got a picture of the ID... so, we'll see if you send it. What you sent to me so far doesn't show anything- you could have posted all but the third one in this thread because there's really nothing to see... and for some reason (conveniently) you can't seem to take a photograph of your ID. Remember how I said, if you didn't do that my suspicions would be raised... Is it a weird coincidence that you can't seem to photograph it? Or evidence that you do not have a valid ID to show...
Again, you don't have to send anything, you volunteered to do so. Yourself holding any of the items already pictured would prove that you're really there. As it is, those don't show anything that Matt couldn't have... and so don't really change the discussion at all.

1 - there are over 20 invoices. Of course its a pile
2 - The edge of my CC shows the same number and NAME used on the ebay account.
3 - So now my screen shot isn't good enough? It matches my CC.
4 - Texas IDs are really shiny with a coating to make it easy to see if they are real or fake. Ive told you I will send it and now in your PMs basically telling me that if I don't pose with it, its not proof for you. This is out of control crazy.
I shouldn't have to prove anything to anyone here and yet, here I am, proving anything and everything I can. From what I saw those 2 people never showed you anything. I've showed you several things. And then you come and post here basically saying I'm avoiding giving you a picture?
Thank you very much for making me, someone not ok with my physical appearance have to show myself WITH my ID just to get you to get off my back over something I'm not even related to.
After I send in the picture, my links better be taken off this thread. This is not ok. Now im just flat out angry.

You could take a picture of the ID by itself. It's up to you... you don't have to take a picture of any of it. A clear shot of a single invoice showing your name could also be more convincing...
If you wanted to take a picture of yourself with either of the above, just a shot of your face would of course be fine...
It's really up to you, you don't have to do anything further if you don' want. But you said you'd send a pic of the ID in your PM to me, and then you ended up sending a lot of inconclusive pictures. A single invoice showing information would be much more convincing than a pile of paper with no information visible. What am I supposed to think?

Not to sound antagonistic, but most states in the US have that "shiny" film over them to provide a level of watermarking. My Ohio driver's license has the same film, and I just took a picture of it. I'm editing it right now to block out any and all personal information but my first name (so DL number, issue number, last name, and address.).
0 glare and flash.
Serpius, I'm not calling you, but I'm just saying the glare on a DL doesn't come into play unless you're using the flash on your camera.
