Looking good so far. Working hinges for the win.

As for sticking things together, it's superglue (CA) or araldite-alike (epoxy). They'll stick anything to anything, it's just that one will set in seconds and the other will require a lot of patience.

Also while digging some more today....yes there are piles you have not seen I found these.

They are battery packs attached to two red flashing bulbs. I had these set aside for the adeptus arbites vehicles. May have to revisit that idea with my storm troopers.

...or, if you like, find some plastic rods and use cement.

Dave heard I wanted to try out airbrushing so he hooked me up with on of his spares . I had tried a badger canned air airbrush and given up. Next week I'll have to get the garage setup and go get a hose and regulator for my compressor.

Also more red rods . Oh the things we'll build.

@dr. H, the door looks too big to me now, but it will allow for larger things from the sump to arrive .

The twin piece to the gate will probably just become the air vent at the top of a tower.

But what would mak this better? How bout a working hinge? Still working on that, I don't have any glue that holds both aluminum or and plastic

If anyone has suggestions let me know, gorilla glue,e6000, and plastic glue have failed me.

i had a thought... you could use matching styrene rods... glue them in place for the hinges to connect... then... when everything is cured... melt them in place!!! with a soldering tool...or even a flat screwdriver heated on a flame......at least i would try it

as for the dreads... cool looking...the stompa feel on the right vernerable...lol^^

and then to your scouts... i like the ravenwing robes... that looks quite fitting... tho i am a bit biased about scouts being fitted with powerpacks...also...i think the rayban cadians head would look good ...

Stomping dread happened because he was damaged when shipped to me. The banner for it the guy snapped of the top of the model to fit it in the box . Yes he compensated me for it, but really? Why would you sell something on ebay then snap it into parts to ship?

@shaso, if your talking about the marines, those paint schemes were done years ago. But it was quite a chore to dig all those out and set them up. All the other projects don't take too long, but it helped only sleeping five hours over the last two days .

@vik, still don't know on the helmets. I've seen most out on the market, and none are screaming to me. They'll probably be headless scouts for now or I'll have to learn how to paint flesh tones . I'm not a big fan of the beakie helmets, I think there's less than five in my marine army. I trade/sell of the bits I don't use, helps fund the hoard and keep the theme coherent.

Okay, so probably no rivet gun on this guy. Still needs a close combat weapon, so ideas would b great. Got back from the trivia night, dint do bad, but it was only my second time ever, we didn't know anyone at our table, and two of the eight no showed. Still came out in top 10 of 40 tables so respectable.

@dave, it was just a night sponsored by our local church (just started going to this one two weeks ago, but they're moving we found out last night, guess well be looking again). All the funds went to different charities thy are involved in. The local food pantry, the homeless, and their Mexico mission trips.

to be honest... book of revelations was the only part of the bible i ever read...oh and parts of genesis too...they tend to be quite mythically... back then this was what i was reading then...same timeline was when i was reading greek myths and so on...

I've probably read revelations more than the other books of the bible also vik, everyone reads the end of the story first .

Rivet gun ho!

May have to use Viks idea of fire to melt the granny strip to the gun, the glue won't hold captain, I've given her all I've got.

Backpack will be where the rivets come from.

Thought about making shears, but the pieces were too big.

and i had a huge collection of junk and other materials for hobby scratch building... recently i have thrown away so much... there are materials you can go insane about... no glue works for real on them... thus i am particularly picky nowadays for my materials...when even superglue gives you a hard time to attach stuff to junk... really... what has the world been coming to...?

and by all my heart... i never read books the ends first! spoiler!... but with the bible... it is not meant to be read from cover to cover...more leafe through and stop at your leisure... at least when me is concerned^^

I'd put a barrel canister somewhere, that soft plastic needs super glue and sandwiching to hold, it's best used on floors. Looks good though!

@dave, it probably would be easier, or I'll look at zinge industry stuff.

@vik, I think reading the New Testament is a better starting point, then go bak and read the Old Testament to see how it all fits together. Psalms is also a great place to go daily, just to give a little praise and glory. Joking about reading the end ristorante, haven't done that since grade school.

Okay, had some time before the baby shower so...

Rick the riveter got a playmate, not the sexy kind either but he IS made of plastic, so a little sexiness might be involved.

Rick the riveter and Ted the torch are both former gangers who's sentence was to be lobotomized and sent back into the underhive for community service. After years of ripping off hubcaps, now they work in an underhive auto shop. Rick rivets, and Ted does all the cutting and heavy lifting .

A car shop you say, but I've never seen cars in the underhive!
Well that was before, seems Rick and Ted were good at stealing cars, so good you never saw any cars parked anywhere. But now the chop shop is legit.

Baby shower was loads of fun , but the cake and BBQ was good. Thought we were catching a break when it was done at 4pm....4hours of furniture shopping later I wish I could do some live action necromunda and shoot someone. still haven't seen anything that's not an arm and a leg which won't make me retch every time I look at it.

@dave, I was thinking little people mover similar to the old battlestar galactica show where the pilots rode on a little skiff sort of thing. Either that or a deuce and a half, any ideas?

Yeah, I can't remember what that thing was called, but it was more of a Tram to scramble pilots to the launch tubes.

Okay,so the tram idea has come and gone, now I'm thinking that the imperium wouldn't care if the servitors walked to work or not, just that they got there. So what to do with six wheels and left over parts.....

A hive maintenance crew platform. Dispatched to repair critical systems, or to cut them off and reuse them in other areas of the hive. The servitors need to be well armed because gangers don't like it when someone cuts off there cable access for lack of payment.

Thinking this guy might turn into tech Sargent Chen.

Quick mock up of the crew platform. Very preliminary stages. The plow on the front will probably disappear and be manipulator arms. The back will most likely be a flat bed for parts, but I have some spare bits that I'd like to use so it might become a boxed truck.

Talisman counters will become varying sized orange safety cones. I have dozens of these sitting around.
I have a couple of the steps for the side of land speeders, to assist the servitors climbing into the vehicle.
The inside door part from the land raider with winch, jack hammer and wrench.
Old necron glow rods for traffic flares, illumination sticks.
Old oop rhino light bars, for road barricades.
And the cable coil from a razorback sprue.

Church this morning. Then an afternoon of furniture shopping (where's that emoticon of me blowing my brains out?), I'm giving up, wife gets new furniture today. One way or another the furniture shopping stops today. If you don't see anymore updates after this then I'm dead, in jail or on the run.....if the cops come looking for me I won't be at the donut shop .
