Or an independent box with fantasy tiles like Zone Mortalis and terrain blocks so we can rearrange them the way we want. Fantasy Necromunda.

I suspect there's an element of books can be printed in the UK, tiles and boards can't.

So then they are just using China for cards.

Is it a matter of scale or regulation?

Don't think there's anything actually blocking it being done in the UK other than it's just that much cheaper to do it in China.

I feel quite the opposite. I got rid of MoM in the end because the game set up time was far too great compared to the time spent playing the game! Having each mansion as a distinct board would have been much better, IMHO.

That is why I bought Arkham Horror LCG.

Were any new era warhammer boardgames any good?
Should I actually expect my purchase being more than just about minis?
I heard a few ringing endorsements about Betrayal at Calth, and I love Space hulk from 200x
But don’t remember anything but “it’s ok” about any other games, like silver tower or the next one they did (the one with nurgle I think)
Oh, and heard good things about about the Khorne arena fighting one, but it’s not really comparable

You can print tiles and boards in the UK, and in numerous locations across the Baltics and Eastern Europe. The increased cost of printing books in certain locations carries over to boards and tiles, so there's nothing about preferred printing location that would influence format in that way. The card – known in the trade as board – on which the older style Warhammer Quest board tiles are printed is the exact same material used to produce the covers of hardback books.

You can pretty much guarantee that the game will be mediocre at best. Main reason being that these WHQ games are way too limited in scopes to be good games.

Let's not kid ourselves. the only reason to buy these boxes is for the minis. But it's quite a reason
