Subject: Most competetive list with current models SW 2000 pts

Ok disclaimer I will never ever take this list in a friendly game because I would not enjoy playing with it and it is meant to be a cheesy hard to kill list.
This list is for tournaments only and is designed to be a bit of a waac and all comers lists so please judge it on this basis. If I use this in a tournament it is because I want to win it and not worry about how enjoyable the games are therefore:
Wolf Lord - TWM, Wolf Claw, Storm shield, saga of the bear, wolftooth necklace, melta bombs, runic armour
Thunder Wolf Cavalry (4): TH/SS, SS, MB, PP
Rune Priest: Chooser of the Slain, Jaws of the World Wolf, Living Lightning
Long Fangs (6): 5 x ML, Razorback TL LC
Long Fangs (6): 5 x ML
Grey Hunters (5) Razorback TL AC, Melta Wolf Standard
Grey Hunters (5) Razorback TL AC, Melta Wolf Standard
Grey Hunters (5) Razorback TL AC, Melta Wolf Standard
Grey Hunters (5) Razorback TL LC, Melta Wolf Standard
Wolf Guard (3) 3 x Combi Melta, 3 x Powerfist
Dreadnaught: Drop Pod MM, HF.
As I said I know this is razorback spam it is not meant to be nice but competitive comments please.

At 2000pts you could fit 10-12 razors in, or 3 squads of TWC and some lords. Razorspam is more competitive, but IMO TWC lists are more fun to play. Pick one, and max it out, and the list will be far more competitive.

Your single Dreadnought will be destroyed quickly the turn it arrives. It will be the only forward unit and anything with a Meltagun or Multi-Melta will key in on it quickly. It might bag a tank, but is that really worth a pair of suicide KPs?
Your scoring units are far too small to be getting into close combat, so why do they have Wolf Standards which are only useful in close combat? Ideally they should never leave their transports unless its to fire Meltaguns into a tank before your Thunderwolves assault what's inside, keeping them safe.
Do you plan to put the Rune Priest with the Long Fangs or with the Grey Hunters? If he is with the Long Fangs then i would ditch Jaws for Tempest's Wrath or something defensive since he won't be getting close enough to use it. If he is with the Grey Hunters then you need a unit in a Rhino so he can fire out of the top hatch.
For Razorspam to work properly it needs to actually SPAM Razorbacks, and 5x Razorbacks do not count as spam. Most Razorspam lists will have 9+ Razorbacks and play everything at range, not as support for a Wolf Lord. Personally I would consider increasing a couple of your units to full size in Rhinos and dropping that Dreadnought. You can also ditch the Plasma Pistol on the Thunderwolves for extra points since they will probably never fire their weapons, and you might also consider replacing Artificer Armor with a pair of Fenrisian Wolves as ablative wounds to take S10 hits for the unit before having to allocate them to models with Storm Shields.
Here's a 2k list with Thunderwolves and Razorbacks that I have found to be quite good:
Wolf Lord (Thunderwolf Mount, Wolf Claw, Storm Shield, Runic Armor, Wolf Tooth Necklace, Saga of the Bear, 2x Fenrisian Wolves) - 280
Rune Priest (Chooser, Living Lightning, Murderous Hurricane) - 110
Rune Priest (Murderous Hurricane, Tempest's Wrath) - 100
4 Wolf Guard (2x Power Fist, 4x Combi-Melta) - 132
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Rhino) - 170
8 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Wolf Standard, Rhino) - 170
5 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Razorback w/ TL Assault Cannon) - 155
5 Grey Hunters (Meltagun, Razorback w/ TL Assault Cannon) - 155
4 Thunderwolves (2x Storm Shield, Thunder Hammer, Meltabomb) - 295
6 Long Fangs (5x Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 215
6 Long Fangs (5x Missile Launchers, Razorback w/ TL Lascannon) - 215
Total 1,997
The Rune Priests and larger Grey Hunter packs make for excellent support for the Thunderwolves whose main job is to rush in and clean up anything the Grey Hunters have shot at. The Razorbacks provide fire support along with the long Fangs. It has one more tank than your list but one less Razorback. Other than that the only difference is no Dreadnought, more Grey Hunters and an extra Rune Priest....that and both Long Fang packs have a ride in case you play a mission with Dawn of War deployment. I've found that it's well worth buying both packs a Razorback simply for that reason.
Just a thought.

I have to agree that this list is better. I do understand why you took the PP, for wound allocation, but the cheaper bolter is worth losing an attack if you're worried about wound allocation. I would consider changing out the TLAC on the two GH Razors for LC TWPG but that is really just personal opinion/taste.

He doesn't need a Bolter on one Thunderwolf. They all have different Wargear for wound allocation already in the list I posted.
#1 has TH/SS
#2 has CCW/SS
#3 has CCW/BP/Meltabombs
#4 has CCW/BP
As for the Razorback weapons I just used the ones he listed in his list. As it stands I'm having real trouble finding a way to represent a LasPlas turret. Forge World used to make one but they don't sell it any longer, and there is nothing from GW that I've found to represent that without some extensive conversion, so it's understandable if he only has TL Lascannon and TL Assault Cannon turrets. Currently I only have TL Lascannon turrets myself and I proxy with buddies, but at tournaments I have to go with TL Lascannon.
I'm open to suggestions for reasonable ways to represent those turrets en masse....

Oops. Sorry I missed something somewhere in there with your weapons load out. Ironically Aldarion I just wrote an article about modeling Las- Plas for my blog. You can check it out here.
