Drop Trooper with Demo Charge

With IG, BA, and DA all receiving awesome new vehicles, such as the valkrie. I was wondering whether the rumored new codex's coming out (Tau, GK ect) if these armies would be receiving new large scale flying vehicles. What are all your thoughts of whether this would happen, and what they might be?

They'll probably include the rules but lack models for them, a la storm raven. It'll also probably be a newly made vehicle that no one has heard of before, but vaguely related to an existing FW vehicle.

Wouldn't mind CSM getting some unique vehicles in their next codex. Bringing in stuff like the blight drone might be cool.

For the Necrons, an aerospace craft designed to harvest infantry and civilians with the Necrons' teleporter-based Gauss-Flayer technology. Think a cross between a Goa'uld Al'kesh and a Wraith Dart.
For the Inquisitorial forces, rules for a gun-cutter as a personal transport would be interesting.

The Achilles shouldn't be included anywhere, not until they fix the Ferromantic Invulnerability rule.

the GKs will be getting the Stormraven(and a model too)
i wouldn't be surprised if Necrons got the Tomb stalker. and maybe some sort of CC unit that actually has Power attacks and is somewhat survivable. Pariahs will either drop in points cost or will get seriously buffed.
i don't see the Monolith changing.
T'au will probably get some of the stuff FW has for them added.
Eldar will probably get a fighter to counter the DE one.
if GKs get the Achilles i will be like , and i will be like and then i will be like

Blight Drones, Slaughterers, etc would be fun.

Why would the Tau get the Orca if the Guard get the Valkyrie(I refuse to acknowledge the Vendetta. It's an asinine bastardized Vulture, when they could have just put the Vulture in)?
The Valkyrie carries, at best, a single squad. The Orca carries alot more than that. 24 Fire Warriors, 6x Crisis Suits, and 8 Drones. Let's also not forget that the Orca is a Superheavy Flyer, rather than just a standard Flyer.
Big difference.
I could see the Barracuda or Remora Drone Fighters making it in as aircraft though.
The other Hammerhead variants are also long overdue for implementation.

I suppose I'll say then, that I could see them getting a smaller version of the Orca. Same aesthetic, smaller capacity. Not sure I could see the Barracuda, though. In my view, the "flyers" in non- Apoc scale need VTOL capability. But if the Barracuda has the Hover Mode rule in Apoc, I'll shut my pie hole. Agree 100% on the Vendetta/Vulture thing, though.

The Trygon was originally a Gargantuan Creature. They've downsized that to a Monstrous creature when it was included in the codex. I'm sure the Orca would get the same treatment if it was included.

I didn't realize I was getting worked up. Did I need a there?
I can't even see them really doing like a "mini-Orca". It'd make no real sense, since it'd fill the same role fluff-wise that Devilfish being deployed from a Manta would.
What I could see, however, is the Barracuda introduced. It's one of the only Tau aircraft that isn't a superheavy(the other being the Remora Drone Stealth Fighter), but more to the point...
It's always been described as "multi-role". It's an air superiority capable fighter, that can carry munitions to attack ground targets. With a fiddling of the rules and description, it could be configured to carry in addition to its standard armament complement...the ability to airdrop Gun Drone Squadrons or even specialist Drones.
Personally, I like the idea of a Barracuda doing a bombing run on a target while also at the same time dropping a series of smaller Drones carrying Homing Beacons for Crisis Suits to deep strike in on.

A Tau Orca would be far too big, it's a mass-lander (albeit not as mass as a manta) who's only Imperial comparison is a Thunderhawk, but they're not in any codices and don't look to be appearing anytime soon.
The only things I can see Tau getting are Barracudas or Tigersharks, but even a Tigershark seems over-powered when you take into account that the main reason the railgun-toting version came about was to deal with the Imperial Titans in the Damocles Crusade. The other version is simply a flying harbinger of drones.
Then there's the size, the FW model dwarfs the Hammerhead, so unless it is re-cast as a smaller version, I doubt we'll be seeing it.
That makes the only logical option for aircraft the Barracuda, but the weapon load-out on it is laughable. It has a bay of seeker missiles, but the main armaments are an Ion Cannon (3 S7 AP3 shots, which in cover-hammer means bugger all), burst cannons and markerlights. The best it can do is try and hunt down light vehicles, but if it no doubt takes up a precious HS slot, it'd be competeing with the vastly better Hammerhead/Broadside choices.
The only way I can see this being used is the option to replace the Ion Cannon with a Railgun etc. There's a reason why nobody runs HHs with Ion Cannons.

See, here's my problem with that.
With the Land Speeder Storm...there's a viable reason it works(both fluff and rules wise). It's a transport for a unit that has never really had transport options that weren't absurdly against the fluff(Really? Rhinos for a Scout Squad? SNEAKY SNEAKY!) or the role that Scouts play (infiltrators/saboteurs).
Now, if you were to have a Piranha suddenly able to transport what it could feasibly carry (maybe what? 5-6 guys?)...what would make it something you want to take over a Devilfish?
I could feasibly see them allowing Pathfinder teams with an even number of members to get Tetras though.

Heh. Remember though, Devilfish aren't limited like Imperial anti-grav vehicles. They can be deployed and operate from the very edge of space by a Manta going full-out in terms of speed. At least the background implies that....

This isn't daycare. You don't get something because someone else has it. If you want a Deep Striking method/transport for Chaos...Dreadclaws are what you have in fluff as the prevalent means...other than opening Warp Rifts between two locations or Teleportation.
Now, I could maybe see Terminators getting Drop Pods. After all, with Chaos it isn't about strategies. It's about how important/highly ranked/highly feared, etc you are.
Eldar will eventually get some skimmer like the two new DE skimmers.
See above about "you don't get something because someone else has it".

What are we meaning by "vehicles" here? More Monoliths? Tomb Spyders?
Because if that's the case...ehhh. I'd rather see them get Necrodermis built war engines/constructs infused with multiple Necrontyr souls.

I very much beg to differ; without strategies a lot of Chaos attacks would have failed. The Black Crusades take a huge amount of planning, and there's also a little story in the rulebook about the Fall of Vilamus which proves that strategy is still very much in use.
