Word Bearers. If it wasn't for them none of the others would even be the Traitor Legions they are today. They caused the Heresy, what more could you want?

Oh, and they are one of the few legions to stay unified (more or less) even after 10,000 years of war

surely that defeats the point of them being a traitor legion then? How can they be best at something they aren't

*sigh* But that would require me to actually read! I guess I'm gonna have to get some more of the books. I've only read through "Flight of the Eisenstein" so far, but this gives me reason to start reading again.

Night Lords get my vote, for sheer awesomeness and great background. Love the inconsistencies on Kurze/Nighthaunter and how he was perceived by even his closest followers. Plus they have a righteousness that the others lack.

I think I'm pretty biased when it comes to all Slaaneshi stuff but Fulgrim has a pretty interesting story IMO plus I like how the Emperor's Kiddies went from perfection obsessed to playing hentai games 24/7.

I like the idea of making people feel uncomfortable and awkward. Annhilating someone with angry superhumans dedicated to bloodshed is kinda expected behaviour from an angry superhuman dedicated to bloodshed.

Now if you annhilate somone while wearing pink and feeling yourself up, it just makes the whole thing even better.

Also excessive torture and pain is more grimdark than infinite schemes, skull hunting, and super space AIDS.

Also all of this can be applied to why I like DE as well.

+1 to this. The fact that the Dark Angels still refer to themselves as loyalists surprises me (considering the amount of loyalists they’ve killed over the years to cover their secrets).
