Like many Blood Angel players, I have been watching the cost of Apothecary bits skyrocket with the usefulness of Sanguinary Priests. Well, take a gander at the arm for one of the close combat servitors, it looks very like those coveted Apothecary arms and, with no one currently taking servitors, they can be had on ebay for a fraction of the price. The shoulder pad even covers up most of the bionic bits if that isn't the aesthetic you are looking for.

but does it have a hand? I guess you'd have to cut one from an arm and GS it in place

Why?

I like the look of a bionic arm with apothecary gadgets on it. Nice variety for one of your Priests...

I imagine the reason for still having a hand would be greater manual dexterity for instance holding the jar whilst unscrewing the lid to put the harvested gene seed organs into however you wouldn't be able to do much with that huge saw jutting out like that.

I imagine an "extractor probe" extends out of the arm unit upon command and sucks out said geneseed and then you can inject it into the specimen holder through a port.

But really, does it really matter?

Just sayin, if you look at the Apothecary's arms, the saw and drill are strapped on like power tools but he's still got an arm there. Visually the servitor arm looks pretty good, I'd just add the arm
