Greetings fellow wargamers!
I've registered to Dakka some while ago, and for some reason thought it would be a good idea to have a look around before coming out from under my rock. Anyways, better late than never, so hear I am

I suppose this is where I write something about myself. Oh well, here goes.
One day back in 2006 I found out about wargaming by accidentally visiting a FLGS where I pop in every now and then. I ended up picking up a dwarf battalion, but if you were to ask me today, what my favorite army is, I'd say ogres.
Then came the new codex, which completely took out the fun & challenge of using machines. And don't get me started on all the other

changes.

Not so long ago I picked up the Imperial Guard and am enjoying them a lot. Definately a challenging army to control, but they have the "it" in it... Well, something like that. As of now,
I don't think even a rulebook change would get me back into FB, which is why I'll probably end up investing a lot of time and funds into IG. Right now I've painted my first guardsman after a month of experimenting with colour schemes, and magnetized anything I could think of. Sentinel weaponry, the extra armour, sergeant arms with boltpistols and plasmas, even the loaders for HWT, and soon to come a leman russ with everything about it interchangable. Maybe one day I'll even install an engine in it. Striving for perfection is futile, but there's nothing wrong trying, right?
