Hey Dakka
I thought it would be fun to make a little thread with a set of pictures of aall the armies that I've worked on this year, sort of a celebration of another year under the belt and hopefully another big one to go. It's quite different seeing them all at once and this is the first time or me too other than in the gallery itself, so should be fun. So sit back and enjoy!
Going back some months I was living in a smaller apartment and didnt have room for the table to take full army shots on, so those armies that didnt have a display I will just post a couple of my favorite images from. If you want to see more pictures of any of these they are in the same chronological order as on the News page.
Also happy holidays everyone! Wish you safe travels and cool toys!

It's not news or rumours, so would be better off in Dakka Discussions or Model Showcase...

Just incredible - both in volume and in quality. The display base armies are particularly amazing work. By the way, I try to frequent your site but wanted to suggest maybe breaking up your news page galleries a bit - I can never get the closeups to load because it spends so long chugging to load up all the thumbnails

Orangecoke - I am working on that. First the main galleries. They need it the most. I might break the news up by season.
A little trick if you just want to see the newest army already - stop the page from loading once the part you want to see is done. Sorry it has to be worked around. I didnt expect the volume of images to get so big back when I made the site, and I am no coder by trade so the fix will have to be a set of pages.

Hey GMM, would you mind a question?
I've followed your work for awhile now, and really love it. I regularly visit your blog, check out the galleries, etc. All of your armies, color-wise, always have a certain "POP" to them. I know that you airbrush your guys, as well. For example, the blue colors on your Ultramarines and Eldar have that "POP". So do the green Dark Angels. From what i can tell, it seems that you achieve great shadow effects with exaggerated highlights. Is part of that from airbrushing, or dark & light priming?
Any suggestions on how to get that "POP", or vibrancy? I'm venturing into airbrushing more of my own models, and would love to experiment a bit for my new death skulls ork army in progress. (My last army was the big Bad Moons army that was making the internet rounds last year).

LittleLeadMen - Its mainly all in the colors you use. I only use P3 and GW paints, mostly because I prefer the bottle style for airbrushing, but also because their colors are more vibrant than reaper and vallejo.
Thanks for the kind words everyone

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

You all know the work of GMM isn't all that great right?
I am certain everyone can always find better painters/studios just around the corner...
Now that my nefarious scheme to monopolise GMM's time worked, you all can move along now.
Honestly, the only complaint I have for GMM/Brandon is that supreme waiting time. The studio is very much in demand so I urge those who desire a professionaly painted army to act now. Yes, NOW. You only need to wait about 3 to 6 months.
Having said the above, the end result is always worth the wait and I have over 20k points of his armies to prove it. More on the way too!
Merry Christmas to you Brandon from Singapore and gosh, that's a hell lot of minis!!
