So my good friends Frank and Kat decided to come over and have a 3 way battle to celebrate the holidays.
We agreed on 1500 Points each and that we would set up on the Board as such….Here is a Pic of the Board. In the center is an Imperial Terraforming station, and it has 4 objectives. The game is a “Hold Ground” style with 4 objectives… and Night fighting was rolled for the first turn.
The picture is of The Blades of Sanguinius, and the Terraforming station behind them. No other terrain is used, but the game surface is a realm of battle board.
The Space Marines Include:
2: Five man Assault Squads.
10: Death Company Lead by Deathpriest Leonidas (Lemartes)
1: Lucifer the Black (Counts as Mephiston)
1: Storm raven (Proxied Vandetta)
1: Death Company Dread w/ Blood Talons
10: Sternguard in a Drop Pod w/ Sanguinary Priest.
Tau Battle Group Includes:
1: Shas’o w/ 2 Shield Drones
4: Squads of 12 Fire Warriors
2: Squads of 3 Stealth Suits with 6 shirld drones each.
3: Broadside Battle Suits
Tyranid Invasion Force Includes:
1: Tyranid Prime
3: Tyranid Warriors
3: Zoanthropes
1: Trygon
2: Trygon Primes
9: Genestealers lead by a Broodlord.
12: Genestealers
We roll to see who goes first and luckily it is me! Hooray, I never win anything! So I decide that the Space Marines would not choose to fight along side either of the Xeno scum, and decide that I will valiantly, and stupidly split my force and attack the “Space Hippies” and the “Hungy Hungy Xenos” with ½ of my force each. I SHALL TRIUMPH!!!
Stay Tuned for more....

And lastly… the “Antidote Bomb” (Yes that is Dayquil glued to the tops of a 30/30 shells.)

Turn one: Space Marine.
I decide that Lucifer / Mephiston will go ahead and take it to the Tau, and he moves 12 inches using his “Mindwings” to get going.
The Drop pod arrives and gets ready to kill some gene stealers, they drop in and open fire ripping the 12 gene stealers to shreds… wiping then off the board save the broodlord.
The Storm Raven moves 12 inches and drops the Death company and the Death Company Dread off. Fires its hurricane bolters and
TL Plasma… managing to kill a single drone.
Death company fire at the Infiltrated Stealth Suits, and their accompanying Shield Drones, managing to kill nothing.
The Dreadnaught fires on the other squad of Genestealers and manages to kill one.
Mephiston runs during his shooing phase into the 3+ cover of the fortified firing position on the west of the Terraforming station.
The Death Company assault and kill the Stealth Team and all their Shield Drones. (Off to a good start)
The Dreadnaught assaults the genestealers… and welll, lets just say that things didn’t go well.
The Genestealers manage to get 7 rends and 6 penetrating hits, before the Dread even gets to go.
The results are 2 weapon destroyed, 2 wrecks, and 2 blow’em ups.
He manages to take one stealer with him…. My turn ends in a sad pile of dreadnaught wreckage.

The Tyranids are next:
Frank moves his gene stealers toward cover, not wanting to risk an encounter with Hellfire rounds, but is more than willing to let one of his Trygons have some fun with Sternguard, and advances his army.
The Trygons go for the Sternguard, The Warriors and Prime go for the Death Company, the Zoanthropes hunger for a piece of the Stormraven. The Genestealers move through cover and get ready to assault the Death Company.
During the shooting phase, the Trygon rolls and spots the Sternguard, and fire its Containment Spines, killing a Sternguard.
The Zoanthropes also spot the Stormraven, but scatter each time they try to blast it.
The Genestealers and a lone Broodlord assault the DeathCompany and manage to kill 4
DC Marines. The
DC return the attacks and manage to kill 6 genestealers and the brood lord.
Frank is disappointed but gloats about a dead Dread.

The Tau then go:
Kat moves his units into a firing line and rolls for distance. Regrettably he cannot spot any Tyranid units, but he can spot Lucifer/Mephiston with a unit of fire warriors, and fires... missing him.
Nothing else can see, so most things just meander about, Shas'o moves up to "take it" to Mephiston.
