If a PBS uses the Weaken Resolve Power out of their Chimera, does it count as only 5 of them firing (as there are only 5 fire points) and the target's LD only decreases by 5 or does it count as all 9 and the target's LD goes down by 9?

Only one psyker needs to be able to draw LOS to the target to bring the full weight of the attack to bear. The target will still be at -9 LD even if they fire from a chimera.

The minimum LD is 2 so -8?

Yeah, that's what I mean, sorry.

Well, officially -9 but the Insane Heroism (I think that's the correct name) rule means that a 2 always passes, regardless of modifiers. You can lose a combat and have a -20 negative modifier, but a 2 will still pass.

The squad can get -9. This might be significant if the target unit has some LD boosting ability.

It's -9, but it specifically states that LD can't go below 2, and yes, insane heroism is the rule about a double always passes.

The same is true, of course, for the other psychic power. I like the idea of 10 wracked and tortured men chanting slowly in a metal box, only to have one of them point his finger out the window and have something on the other side of the battlefield explode.

Yeah, it's a nice thought. Unfortunately, it's only 9 + an Overseer.

Truth be told he is really just singing Aqua to himself.

Oh I come from a land, from a faraway space
Where the caravan shuttles roam
Where the war is immense
And the fights are intense
It's barbaric, but hey, it's home

Imperium nights
Like Imperium days
More often than not
Are hotter than hot
In a lot of good ways

seems like it would be a way to keep deamons away. Not even they want to be put through that.
