Here's my Slaan mage priest, Kermitos the Unconquered. He's based on the old slaan priest that was carried by temple guard, but I wanted something different so I ordered the war turtle from RAFM miniatures and stuck him on top

Thanks I have lots of other old lizards to paint now too. About 50 old skinks with bows that I'll use to fill up ranks and 4 old style salamanders. Also got a lot of the old skink commands before they rereleased them.. like 5 or 6. So my skink horde will be growing a lot soon

I also have like 48 sauruses to paint too, 24 with spears and 24 with hand weapons.

I think the concept is fun, and I really like how the conversion turned out. As for the painting, however, I would have probably done something else about the green on the Slann, since he just looks like he got dipped in Goblin Green with some highlights put on. Maybe doing a lighter belly with Bleached Bone or something would make it stand out more. Or some mottling on his skin. It just looks very... plain.

I agree actually. I was going for a kermit the frog kind of green, I had a bleached bone belly at first but it kind of vanished when I did the green wash, so I decided to make all the pimpley bits be bleaeched bone instead.

I was basing him off of this guy

I had the orangey fingers at first too but I didn't like the looks of em once they were painted. This is a crappy picture though, maybe I'll take a better one tonight with him mixed in with some of my other lizards

I love that old fig. The addition of the RAFM turtle is stellar. Thanks for sharing.

I can imagine this guy slowly but surely marching across the battlefield, croaking at anyone that gets too close...

I love the turtle figure. I'm not a fan of the old Slaan model, but this works well.

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.
