At the moment I have a headless assault squad for my Sons of Medusa.

Mine is on order, but no sign that it has been packaged yet, let alone left the depot. I am getting a resin Lugft Huron and a few other bits and bobs too.

Got mine yesterday, but I'm glad that they didn't release the rules for some of the characters online beforehand, otherwise the screams of "Cheese" would have been too much. (I'm looking at you Salamanders Character Dread!)

Otherwise, loving the storyline and the Siege list, 9 Land Raider Achilles in a standard list....

Burning Wrath is pretty lethal... especially against close combat horde forces.

Tyberos' Chapter Tactics replacement is kind of scary too. I wonder how many Carcharodon forces we'll see springing up?

When they get rage, they also get Preferred Enemy too... Reroll to hit, reroll to wound...

Only Tyberos gets Preferred Enemy when he gets Rage, that's part of his Battle Fever rule, not the Chapter Tactics one.

Can you tell us any more about the new Salamanders guys?

Nothing like full stat lines, just a little bit about what their story is, anything noteworthy etc?

Also, what is the Charchadons awesome leader called?

Captain Pellas Mir'san - Captain of the Salamander's second company. He's a master duellist (cc benefits) and carries a master crafted power sword and a combi flamer. He used to be the Salamander's Chapter Champion before becoming Captain of the 2nd company.

Bray'arth Ashmantle - Venerable ancient of the Salamanders. Totes twin heavy flamers that can also fire as twin-linked meltas. He's a relic dread, built by Primarch Vulkan. He has secondary flamers that allow him to set fire to everything around him in close combat.

The Carcharodon's Captain is called Tyberos The Red Wake. Equipped with Terminator armour that has special gauntlets that lets him choose between twin chainfist, twin lightning claw attacks... or one of each. According to the description, has half the bones in his face exposed and soulless black eyes. Scary scary man.

I think the Achilles is now 25 points more expensive.

The Caestus Assault Ram is no longer immune to melta, but everything else is pretty much the same.

An achilles for my Night Lords. Can someone throw up a pic of a Sons of Medusa Marine not in cammo please.

Sons of Medusa pics can be found over on Lexicanum's Sons of Medusa page. The colours and scheme hasn't really changed, although the green isn't *quite* so eye bending any more. Some of the rhinos are more black than green too.

Cool as mine are snot green and a light cream helm.

Had 3 copies delivered to the store yesterday, and they didn't manage to get out of the boxes before they were sold! Admittedly I bought one of those copies, but the other 2 went before I could unpack 'em.

Haven't read the fluff (blame Superman). Rules stuffs though:

SM Siege List:
[*]Extra objective enemy deploys in their deployment zone - Siege army must hold it or can only draw game at best. Is there to balance the power of the list apparently.
[*]Captain of the third company generic character adds CS with option for Prometheus DT, adds FC or TH to one squad, has artificier armour, signum and standard captain wargear options.
[*]No bikes for characters and only Termies get DPs
[*]Squad of 1-3 Siege/Ironclads are Troops -> FAQ required, text implies don't count towards Troops on FoC, but not stated.
[*]Tac Squads can pay 50pts to not run or SA, but re-roll armour saves from shooting
[*]Siege Assault Squads, Troops with CCW & BP and option for 2 specials weapons and other CC goodness, can re-roll SA rolls.
[*]Assault Ram is in FA slot
[*]Only other FA allowed is AS and Vanguard
[*]No Scouts
[*]Preds, WW and Vindis in squadrons
[*]Achillies and Helios are only LR in HS
