Im just asking so that i find out what people think is the best of the special lord in the chaos army. I think that typhus is the best one of them the only problem is that he is not imune to isnant death.

I'll have to agree with typhus. He's a baller in CC, great saves, poisoned power weapon + force weapon getting up to 9 attacks, 10 on the charge, instant cast psychic powers, ect ect.

Though, my continuing rant about eternal warrior is if a random leader in the space wolves can have eternal warrior, then why doesn't the CHOSEN of a CHAOS GOD have it?

I'd have to say though, points for points, kharn is the best.

Fluff-wise, I think Lucius is one of the coolest. In game though, I have to concede that Kharn and Typhus are far better. Any other SC isn't really worth it in my opinion.

You forget Typhus essentially has a Poisoned AP2 flamer. However Kharn is far better for your points.

Both however largely render SM librarians moot aginast them, although Kharn moreso. Typhus does not need a psychic test to use his power, so he never has to worry about it being negated.

For flavor and general cool points my pick is Huron Blackheart or Cypher. For use in game Ahriman or (god I hate the cheesy SOB) Abaddon

Abaddon is really expensive, and you have to dedicate a huge portion of your list to get him into combat (Land Raider/deep strike with termy bodyguard). Typhus is really expensive also, and has the same issue as Abaddon. Kharn is easily the best of the choices for what he does at his points cost.

Honorable Mention: Kharn! Counts as an MC VS vehicles and always hits on 2s. "I don't care how fast you're flying that skimmer, pansy elf. Batter up!"

FAQ: I still like Arhiman*, but he lost a quite a bit of power. Typhus probably is the best. He can be insta-gibbed, but can't have everything.

This. You could potentially build a triple LR list around Abaddon and terminators at 2000 points, but I doubt it would be terribly effective. Kharn, even with his annoying habit of toasting your own guys, is both cheap and effective.

Actually the hits on a 2+ only applies to things with a weapon skill. I know, I was disappointed too.

Easily Kharn. Points for popints, he's a monster wrecking ball who can smash his way through most anything- for cheaps! And in this game of Psykers, he's immune to psychic powers!

unfortunately there are still a number of legal ways to remove him via Psychic powers. Someone pointed it out in another thread. However he is by far the most cost effective special character in the codex.

True he can be removed, but it stops quite a lot of garbage coming at you.

Kharn is insanely awesome for his points.

He is indeed. He is a one man army versus anything.

How do you eliminate Kharn with Psychic Powers?

Blood Angels using that Strength boosting ability to make themselves S10. Then ID the guy with a power weapon to the face or something. Technically none of it affected Kharn, but it is a way of offing him with psychic powers.
