That said, I do actually find the community here to be generally much less terrible than other places on the internet.

I think its coz the mods are nice. I got a warning recently for a thing. But it wasn't a warning. Some forums have 'you haz mispelled something' TEN TON MOD HAMMER! and the mods are trigger finger itchy to bitch slap you to the other side of the internet.
However dakka isn't like that , I got a nice pm a 'polite warning' and the 'air' of the modding is good and mature.
Some forua (mtgsalvation for example) are hyper moderated and it's basically pointless to attempt anything 'outside the box' whereas wargamers tend to be imaginative and perhaps more tolerant.

Pretty much any political thread on Dakka is home to trolls.
Of course one side's trolls always calls their trolling "intelligent discourse"and the other side's "trolling" and vice versa.

Our mods are awesome, and let good conversation occur. However, if you do see trolls trolling like a troll can only troll, hit the little triangle with the exclamation mark in it, so the mods can take the appropriate action.

Well really youll find trolling in every forum from time to time. Sometimes its really light and hard to see and others is just crazy. Im still wondering why someone suggested Bjorn could take out Lysander in a 1 on 1 match. Im fairly certain that was a troll
