Why can't universal just reboot it and have young Dickie Attenborough, and young Sam Neil, young Laura Dern: Jurrasic park - The Early Years.

All it needs is raptors and a new big bad. I vote for a ocean edition, cause I want Dunkleosteus to eat something.

Here's the thing.

You remember JP2, with that bit when the ship containing the T rex crashes into the pier and everyone on it is dead, despite the T rex being inside the ship's hull...

So, I always figured that could have been raptors and that a film with raptors spreading across mainland USA and killing folks would make for a more interesting story.

I REALLY....really really really, really.....REALLY, really? Yes really! Hope its not full of raptors though. The raptors are the "bad guys" in every one of those damn films, at some point in the movies.

Zombie Raptors would be a trendy choice.

Hippo's can also sprint at over twice the speed of a human and are highly territorial, feth T-rex's just have hippo's in JP4

Yea Ive seen alot of animal planets featuring them. They are friggin INSANE! My oldest brother went on a safari type thing once when he was a Marine, and while the tracker and his small group were walking through the bush, the tracker fella leaped over a mess of bushes and there was a hippo just standing there about 20 or so feet away from them all. The damn thing started huffing and stamping its feet. Lucky for them they slowly backed off and didnt have to fire a whole arsenal into it

Plus, if they used Raptors how they most likely actually looked, audiences most likely wouldn't take it seriously(especially since to most people, JP1 raptors are how they believe raptors should and do look). Seriously, would you want to sit through 2 hours of nerds being chased by killer chickens?

I was about to mention how raptors have feathers.

Imagining any of the Jurassic Park movies with an accurate representation of raptors is pretty hilarious.

I remember hearing, and this is a complete rumor, but that in the original script for the 4th JP the Costa Rican Government weaponized the dinosaurs. I remeber hearing Sam Neill being quoted as saying "I wouldn't touch that piece of dino gak with a 10 foot pole." Weaponized Dinosaurs? Yes god Please.

I heard that they were going to make a JP4, but then cancelled once Crichton died. I don't know whether to believe it or not, because it's not as though they really cared what Crichton thought.

And even if there was going to be a JP4, I would only see it if someone paid for my ticket.
JP1 = Strayed from the book, but was close to original story.
JP2 = Strayed quite far from book, but the storyline was close enough to be good.
JP3 = Pathetic. Not part of original series, relied on people getting eaten in nasty ways to be good.
JP4 = I don't want to think about it.

I thought they cancelled it after the the time wasted by the 2007 strike (the time they were originally planning to make it) and the death of the guy who wrote the books.

's funny, I like the third one quite a bit because it starts making the transition to the natual genre Jurassic park really belongs in: Survival Horrors.
