This is a selection of my first two months of getting back into painting after a 17 year / 3 Child break I Hope that you enjoy.


Ultramarines :: I Know, I Know but someone brought me the Black Reach boxed set so I swapped the ORKS for a broken razorback, 10 assault marines, 10 tactical marines, 5 scouts and 5 extra terminators ....




Soul Drinkers :: I Loved the novel so had to paint and build



For Rebecca my 8 year old Daughter, just getting into the hobby for the first time ........

You got all that done in 2 months? After a 17 year break? Way to make me feel lazy!

Love the old techmarine model - I prefer those to the new ones -always used to field one when they could be taken in a command squad (going back what - 2(?) codexes there?).

Very nice work. I think it is an understatement to say that that is impressive to achieve over the course of two months.

Thank you for your kind comments, there should be loads of other photo's as I have a commission from another friend of mine to do his Tau army. I have completed 8 XV-8 Battlesuits 2 Broadsides and a squad of Fire Warrior Sniper / Pathfinders but need to photograph them. I have also completed a squad and two heavy weapons of Imperial Guard, again no photographs.

I will try and dig up some more, but older photo's, however most of them tend to be Fantasy Miniatures , please forgive me.

Those tiles are 2X2?

Yeah 2 feet by 2 feet, so all of the trench system falls within the 12" deployment zone in a standard game. I did this one for our poor imperial guard player who constantly gets decimated because we have had limited terrain until now : !!

Guys Tile 1 Complete and started on tile 2 today ...... I have planned all 6 tiles first;

Tile 2: Middle top on the right of tile 1 will be a continuation of the trench with a redoubt for a Heavy or Super Heavy tank.

Tile 3: Right Top the trench system will become a motorway checkpoint into an Imperial city.

Tile 4: Left bottom will be a standard blasted tile to sit underneath Tile 1.

Tile 5: Middle Bottom will be an Imperial Plasma Fusion Power Generation Core.

Tile 6: Right Bottom will be a war torn suburban sector with destroyed buildings etc.

Im thinking do I now plan a layer 2 to go underneath that details a sewer system / underhive for those slightly more interesting scenarios or for a blistering Deathwatch game

No it like riding a big space marine motorcycle, its fun but you dont tell your friends about it.

Yeah Styrofoam, and closed cell insulation board, its like styrofoam but denser

Wow thats some good looking stuff, and in 2 months, I wish I had that kind of skill, or that kind of time. I've got a few WIP that are older than that.
