Isn't there one where a battle barge reduces a planet to rubble with lance strikes? It's what was (IIRC) described in the novel for Dawn of War.
...although that WAS written by the Goto, so there's not a great deal of credibility there, but hey.

That Exterminatus contradicts almost all sources since a measly Imperator titan survives it.Galaxy in Flames is so badly written.

It should be noted that not all cyclonic torpedoes penetrate the planets core. Some cyclonic torpedos are described as detonating on impact w/ the planets surface (and oddly enough these are the ones that are usually described as shattering the planet). The type that burrow seem to instead bring about the end of a planet by supercharging plate tectonics or something like that, causing superheated molten metal to burn everything on the surface, etc.
Personally, I went virus bomb. It seems the most 'graceful' (for lack of a better term) option.

I always thought the virus bomb was the coolest. Any old galaxy spanning empire can blow up a planet, but nobody seems to use viruses anymore than once.
