Both meant well, but screwed up big time.

Magnus and Curze.
One for trying to do the right thing, only to have several metric gak-tonnes of Grimdark thrown back in his face
The other for his back story and his sense of justice. Plus the Night Lords totally wreck face.

Warning From Magnus? Not Listening!

Everyone seems to turn a blind eye to how ignorant and arrogant Magnus was, The Emperor told him no. But Magnus "I'm a big boy now daddy, I do what i want" Attitude is what screwed him. Not trying to do the right thing.
Logar I feel something for, The Emperor could have tried harder to explain things better, Not Not keeping better tabs on him was probably a mistake too.

Agreed. He knew what he was doing long before Nikaea. The deal he made with Chaos to save his Legion proved that.
I feel worse for his Legion than I do for him.

Horus, reverted to a child like state in my opinion, from all the special attention he got (from Big E), but as they found more Primachs he wasn't special anymore and wanted to be THE UBERZ PRIMACH!!!111!!!eleven! But on the Flip side, If the Emporer would have payed more attention to ALL of them, Things would be very different i belive

Pertrabo, his legion was frequently overlooked for battle honors in favor of the other legions after joint operations, then had the "Glorious" Duty of supervising illiterate peasants while the other legions gained more honor and glory at the forefront of the great crusade.
One thing i don't understand, is why were the Iron Warriors were earmarked for garrison duty in the first place. Space Marines were created as offensive weapons, like swords, sure you can block an attack with a sword, but a shield would be much better suited.

Angron, have you guys read 'After Desh'ea'? It describes how the Emperor forced Angron to abandon all his friends and comrades on the eve of battle, dooming them to be slaughtered. Even though he pleaded to fight and die with his comrades, the Emperor was all like 'Nuh-uh, you gotta go fight this Crusade for me, forgot those savage primitive friends of yours.' Which led a deep and consuming anger and sense of betrayal that made him turn traitor eventually.
Of all the traitor primarchs I think Angron's turning could have been the easiest to avoid, or at least made to turn out a different. Angron's enemies only had black powder level tech, the Emperor could have blasted them from orbit. Or since Angron respected martial prowess above all other things, why not FIGHT ALONGSIDE him and win his everlasting loyalty.

It's Magnus no question. I can't imagine any of the other Primarchs being as screwed over as he was. First by the Chaos Gods, then the Emperor, then by Horus.
