On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Sounds really cool, so essentially a kind of wargame version of the zombie-survival missions from Call of Duty..

so i went to sleep, and wake up to +40k, and now light vehicles for the asterains and FF. Now i want the dreadball mech for the enforcers, and a APC, but i think all the vehicles for the enforcers should be antigrav. the rebels should be using wheeled vehicles. though.

had a thought. I bet the million dollar stretch goal is going to be Vehicles for every race, and you can choose 1 and get it for free.

You can play them co-op as well, so a couple of teams banding together to take down the zombie hordes.

Ok... so it's "solo" only against the Zombie Hordes? No solo-game ... say ... Rebs vs. Marauders?

35k for the asterians and FF seems a bit high, maybe add a small stretch goal in the middle of both of them.

@Zwei: The zombies are additional to the regular solo rules, Jake has a post on http://quirkworthy.com/ about it.

There are different solo modes - solo rules for playing against AI card controlled other factions (already funded) and now funding solo rules for 1 faction (or more) against a Zombie Horde. Apparently Zombie Hordes will require 35 to 45 Zombies to play but you can recycle some into play if you need more

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

Well the last thing I need are more Zombie minis. With a full Lost & The Damned army and oodles of Zombicide minis, I think we're covered there.

Sadly, I dropped my EB Striker, as I really just don't need another game to get into...but I'm going in for add ons only. Since I've always added onto an actual pledge level, I'm curious: do I just select the "no thanks, I just want to help" pledge and will I still get a survey to fill out the goodies I want? I'm adjusting adding on as soon as somebody can tell me.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Alright. Which goes back to my question.

I can easily see a "Zombicide-style" Zombie-on-rush scenario being played. The "A.I." required to commandeer a zombie-horde is comparatively easy to do with cards, both because they have superiour numbers and because their basic behaviour is pretty straight forward.

What I want to see is how you could turn a .. say ... Enforcer or Rebs Squad in a "player-vs-player"-equivalent match turn solo on the basis of cards. Seems like all the synergies, stratagems of positioning, etc.. would quickly be lost, making a "card-based" Enforcer-force a rather uninspiring opponent to play against (solo).

I don't get the hover and wheeled bikes. I would much rather see proper lightly armored support vehicles (think up-armored hummer/MRAP) which would serve a purpose in a skirmish game. I just can't see troops fighting from bikes, and the mobility doesn't gain much on a 2x2 or even 4x4 table with lots of terrain.

these are the elite slots for the races sofar, not light vehicles. at least from my understanding.

Ah, what a nice way to wake in the morning. Plenty of updates and a reason to drop another $50 in to the KS to bring me over $500. Now I'm down for an Enforcer, Reb, Marauder and Forge Father booster bundle. I am a happy SDorf right now. This day is actually looking like it may be a bit higher than yesterday, hopefully we're staring at $900k come tomorrow so we can lock in the last faction booster (and unarguably the most important of them all).

I recently looked at the front page and was reminded of how many individual mercs we're getting. Pretty sweet. I dont think they're quite at dreadball MVP amount, but its still more than I realized.

Hope the FF booster funds... brings me back to when I first got into wargaming but couldn't afford a squat army!

Well, we're at the $50k mark for the first half of today, and the first half is usually the slowest (picking up in the evening for UK and America).

I'd put good odds on another $70k in the next 12 hours to hit the forgefather booster just as the final day (or final 18 hours, more accurately) starts.

SS-That's what I'm thinking. When I wake up tomorrow, and its noon or so in the UK, we should see the core game and EU "done". Hopefully then they start in with some fun/crazy stuff

Quick question. I've decided that I don't really want any starters and just want addons. Can I just pledge for addons and add something for shipping, or is it not possible?

The problem with that is a vehicle is that it's far bigger than a bike,

so costs a lot more to tool (an potentially needs more assembly too which counts against it in what is still nominally a board game)

(if you look at the gun platform thingy the marauders got the text underneath says the concept art has it too large probably for this very reason)

Yeah, I think you can pick a blank pledge level or something, and just get add-ons with a shipping charge. Someone else could better instruct you about the specifics of actually doing so, though.

Cool, thanks! After you responded, I went and did some hunting, found the add-on guide document, and it says that if you aren't pledging for at least a starter, $5 for shipping is needed, so I think I've got my pledge worked out!

Sweet action I've got my amount set in, but I need to go through and add it all up. May be lazy and just pad it a bit before the final count down.

Light vehicles are on the horizon - on the other side of $1M...

Creator Mantic Games 3 minutes ago

@ Christopher - More LRVs and LSVs (Light Strike Vehicles) are the plan but we'd need to get passed the $1million to do them

I saw that, pretty spiffy. I know we're getting to 1mil, depends on how fast things pick up in the final hours as to what we end up with.

Has it been mentioned here that the front page lists zombies as 15 for 20 or 45 for 80? Buy 3 get 4th free zombie deal whooop!

^ Oh sweet. Nice catch, they took up the idea and did a bundle deal on them.

Oh, man, now I'm tempted to get that plague army...

I'm more likely to get a plague army than a rebs one at this point. Reeeaaaaly want a rebs army list, but its helping me moderate my expenses by giving up my 3rd and 4th rebs faction starters to the EU factions and spending the bundle $50 on the bogo booster bundles instead so I won't cry.... Much...*sniffle*

Yeah, I probably only really *need* one box to go with the 10 I get for assault. But I'm sorely tempted to get two to have "enough" for solo zombie rules. And then its just 15 more dollars for $30 value. I see what they did there. Fiends!

Okay. I'm at $141 Strike Team, $50 for bogof booster deal, and $95 for Urban Battle (damaged) sprues. That puts me at $286. What should I get to put me over the top? I'm thinking either the Commercial or Medical scenery bundles but I might just get a second bogof booster deal and get four factions built up strong in case my play style or preferences change.
