Im in the process of comming up with a Blood Angels successor chapter. The best i have so far are called the "Revelators" As in, They reveal the Emperors will to the enemys of man. "Suffer not the alien to live" and "Death to the Heretic". But im having some trouble comming up with a chapter symbol. Something that has to do with "Judgement" or "justice" perhaps, but something relevant, and suited to a Blood Angels successor chapter. Any ideas would be helpfull.

What about a hammer/gavel sort of thing? Adorn with blood drops where applicable.

Be careful with a hammer, since it's the symbol of the Ordo Malleus...and therefore hammers are gonna be all over everything soon.

I'd go with a pair of scales, myself.

If you can model blindfolds on the librarians it would be awesome. Justice is blind.

If you use the scales symbol you could have a blood drop as part of the pivot.

That would be nice!

The scales could contain blood. Maybe the scales could have wings as well.

Is this based on a Communist symbol? I do like the idea of scales though. Perhaps you could have a drop of blood on one side and an unbeliever on the other?

There is no doubt in my mind that it is.

Everyone likes some hints of communism now and then. Any other ideas?

Obviously they would have to specialise in CC but how about once they have freed a world a contingent of them stay behind to 'judge' the population and it's commanders and if they ever falter they are executed.

Most of these suggestions have to do with justice, I think we need more suggestions to do with "revealing".
However, I don't have a clue about symbolism that has anything to do with revealing.

Then maybe have them use flamers and flame based weapons a lot as it "Reveals" the enemy...

I think that fire is more symbolic of purity and purgation.

Maybe heavy use of plasma then?

I can't really think of anything though.
Maybe there is a cloth covering the scale, but a hand is picking up the cloth, thereby revealing the scales?
I don't know though, that sounds like an odd logo.

Plasma weapons are bright
bright=light
light=revealing things
That's the best i can come up with for a weapon to suit the reveal aspect of the chapter.

If you want something to symbolize a revealing light, why not go with, say, a lantern or a torch? Might be able to work that in with some scales.

A sword with a blood drop on the pommel and a star burst behind it. The sword represents that they bring justice through combat, the blood drop identifies them with the BA(duh) and stars are the greatest source of light in the galaxy (suns are just really big stars) but could also signify the guiding light of the astronomican.

If you're looking for ideas on names how about the Prophets of Illumination or the Angels Illumination.

I like these ideas, now i just got to make up my mind.

Well ive come to conclusion. I will take a biblical approach to this and use the book of revelations as reference. My chapter symbol will be a rearing black horse. As the rider of the third seal of revelation was released, he rode a black horse and carried with him scales of justice. That and a black horse alone is a symbol of esoteric knowledge which fits with the chapter name "Revelators". Thank you all for the sugestions.
