Some time ago I got invited to this forum by MajorTom11 and today I decided to register and post some of my work.
I started this project 6 month ago and in that time I managed to finish two complete Jet Bikes and other two withought drivers from a total of 6 models. The main idea was to convert all drivers with Dire Avenger and Guardian parts but I decided that shuriken cannon bikes will have those old school drivers so the will be easy see in a squad. I chose to paint them in Biel Tan colors but I changed white to gray because I wanted them to bee darker.

Here you can see those finished bikes:

And here are some WIP photos of the rest of this squad.

I cut of the shuriken catapults and replaced them with Shuriken Cannons but there is still some converting work to be done.

I hope tomorrow I will manage to finish those drivers and make some photos so you can see the progress that I made.

If you want to see more of my finished Eldar and other miniatures see my CoolMiniOrNot profile http://www.coolminiornot.com/browse/page/1/submitter/REDAV

So what do you think about this project ??

I must say that yours are the best example I've seen of just what is possible with the Eldar Jetbikes. Still cannot say that I'm a fan of the model itself, but your painting has done wonders for it.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I must say that I'm waiting for new jet bike models but I think we must wait till the next edition of Codex Eldar. I’m happy you like them so stay tuned for mode. Today I managed to paint some parts of those drivers and I will post some photos after I finish working and come back home.

Man, the crack effect on the nose of the Jetbikes is quite amazing! How many layers of highlights did you apply underneath them?

Hi,

I have painted the noses using Airbrush as will I do with the hole jet bike. The colors I used are:
- Skull White as primer,
- then Orkhide Shade
- Valejo Dark Green,
- Goblin Green,
- and Rooting Flesh
When you try it each next layer should take less space on the canopy so you will have a smooth transition.

Today I will post some progress but there is still much to paint and I play to much Last Stand .

Ok I finally had some time to finish those bikers and now I will post some . Ok I managed to finish all drivers and now I'm painting the last two jet bikes.

Here you have some photos

Two complete Bikers

Two bike drivers for shreeker jet bikes.

One of those jet bikes didn’t go as planed and I’m not entirely happy with his canopy but I didn’t wanted to repaint it because they are only for playing purposes. I hope you wont kill me for this heheh

Grey parts ware made using:
- the base color was Adeptus Battle Grey
- shades ware made using a mix of Adeptus Battle Gray and chaos black (proportions 1:1)
- first highlight was made using Fortress Grey,
- then I used a mix of Fortress grey and skull white (1:1),
- the final highlight was made with white - I made it only in few places.

Green amour was made using:
- Orkhide Shade as base color,
- Orkhide Shade with some Regal Blue (2:1) for shades,
- Dark angels Green as first highlight,
- Vallejo Goblin green as next highlight,
- final highlights war made using Rooting Flesh.

Brown leather parts ware made using;
- Bestial Brown as base color,
- shades war made using a mix o Bestial Brown and regal blue (1:1),
- first highlight was done with Snakebite Leather
- next highlight was made using a mix of Snakebite Leather and Bleached Bone (1:1),
- final highlight was made using Bleached Bone,

Blue gems and sword wars made using:
- Necron Abyss as shade and base color,
- Regal Blue as first highlight,
- Enchanted Blue as next highlight,
- next up was a mix of enchanted blue and skull white (1:1),
- Skull White for blinks and final highlight.

I hope this will help you fellow painters and let me know what do you think about those miniatures.

Regards,
RED

I really really love your bikes, but personally I think the bike on the left has too many streaks on it. The one on the right is purrrrfect! Just my 2cents.

Thx for the positive feedback. As for my Biel tan colors I wanted them to bee original and that’s why I changed those colors. I did it on my Wraithlord, Howling Banshees and on Fire Dragons so they will look like a part of the same army. Here you can see what I am talking about.

I painted some figures in the original Biel Tan colors but I will try to repaint them or paint new ones.

Paintjob looks great! I really like how you made your banshee connected to biel tan but still kept true to the banshee color scheme. Keep up the great work!

Now I started painting 10 guardians with a weapon platform. I made some base colors with a airbrush and I hope to finish them next week.

So what do you think about them ??

Wowza. There's not much to say really. Definitely no criticisms to add, but thats some beautiful models you have there and I love the 'breaking emblem' esc design on the Jetbikes. I must admit, I think the Shuri-cannons look a bit over-sized, but that's not your fault.

Have any more models you haven't shown us yet?

Seriously great work man.

Enlist as a virtual Ultramarine! Click here for my Chaos Gate (PC) thread.

- Roboute Guilliman

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Yea I know but I will paint them so that one will look like a female and all Eldar look kinda famine hehe. I will correct this during painting so it should look ok.

For me those cannons are a little to big but I had only those two to in my bits box . I painted some other models for this army but it was a long while ago and my painting level was worse so they don’t look as good as I want them to be now. I will make some better photos of my Farseer I painted for this army a few years back so you can see the level difference. As for other Eldar models I will post more in time. After those Guardians I will paint three War Walkers and then make a brake to paint a Chaos Demon Prince (on my maximum Level ).
