I hate the huge wings so I tried a different look.

Open to praise and criticism.

Thanks,

it looks worse...

"Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be re-learned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods."

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

The daemon prince formally known as a bumblebee

It looks OK... not really my cup of tea though (I quite like wings to look as though they would actually support the thing they are on).

Though your GS skills could perhaps do with a little work.

Over all, table worthy. some thoughts on improvement though...

-Some different highlights and washes on the flesh and armor, so you can tell them apart.
-Highlight the teeth and claws.
-Wings seem to high set on the back, if they were tucked back a bit more I could buy the idea that they "grow" when hes ready to fly.
-You could angle the wings in a bit more, and extend their length with some wire and green stuff, making them look larger and folded in.
-Some color to the eyes, seem a little empty for a daemon.
-spice up the blade a bit, it blends in with the drab of the rest of the model.
-Paint the cables and tubes a different color

keep working at it, glad to see people taking the time to paint. =) most of the armies at my local group are half bare plastic >_<

You should use more time to painting.

I think the wings are out of proportion in relation to the size of the model. Nice paint job tho good work
