GW has published all sorts of fiction. I haven't read any of it because I'm very new to the I.P. but the giant wall of WH40K titles at my local book store
is evidence enough of it's popularity.
Is there anything written about the Orks specifically? Any titles that feature the Ork's P.O.V?

If you can find them the old codexs (such as 'ere we go) have lots of little stories in them.

Not much is written from the perspective of the various xenos (least of which is would be Orkz) though you can find a few books that have sort of a story within a story revolving around a particularly crafty warlord.

Here's one:

Orc grows from mushroom
Kills stuff
dies

Partly because of Gav Thorpe's fungus fetish, orc culture seems to have become less complex as the game has developed, a kind of reversed evolution from when they first appeared in Rogue Trader (and at least had some kind of conception of society, which went beyond "we iz kill stuff"). As Lord of Battles said, the old RT expansion books are absolutely chock-full of different bits and pieces.

GW doesn't seem to like shades of grey for them, which is a shame when you consider the new DE stuff (there is a reason for their evil!) and what writers like Aaron Dembskii Bowden are doing for Chaos Marines, and they have moved beyond children's book villainy.

Seriously, the only example I can think of is in the Soul Drinkers book 'Chapter War' - part of the perspective is taken from a particularly cunning Warlord.

Chapter War is precisely the book I was thinking of though I believe there have been a couple other examples...I'm just having a hard time remembering them right now. I've read so many 40K and Fantasy books and short stories that the finer details sometimes become a jumble.

Deff Skwadron is a comic book about Ork fighter pilots. I haven't read it but it sounds awesome.

im writing a novel based from the orks POV, unfortunately i wont have it finished by May (thats when the black library are having a submission period) due to work consuming a lot of my time and any spare time usually involves mates coming round for painting or playing.

its gonna have a bit of humor and some serious gore!

I personally would love to read any stories written in the orks perspective. I think it would be a good story even if it will only have one major conflict in it which will be war even if its among themselves.
