I came across an add for dicebucket.com on BoLS... they are an online discounter that seems to have all GW stuff for 20% off. What's more is that it is the first online store I have found that has a web cart system!!!!! Finally!

http://www.dicebucket.com/servlet/StoreFront

I haven't ordered yet, but I am getting a couple of friends together to hit the minimum no fee shipping.

The 35% off is on sprues that come out of Battleforces and Battalions where they are already getting a better price themselves. Very good pricing on those sprues if you need them.

And expect the shopping cart system to go away once they get a C&D letter from GW at some point. Since 2003 GW has banned independent sellers from having an online shopping cart system. They do not ban them from doing mail order, just from having the click and buy shopping cart system.

ChaosOrc.com has GW on shopping cart also.

Why would they get a C&D? Yes it is policy that GW banned sales buttttttt thats only if you go GW direct or Direct Distributors. There ARE middlemen distributors that stay silent (they get business), if not then a retailer who would give discounts to the near exact percent @ cost. What the consumer does with it is 'beyond' their hands. A loophole around the ecommerce block. You never are contractually bound with GW, and for GW to regulate on your sales that will have no legal backing (?).

-If you do not get your items via GW Direct or 'Direct' Distributors
-If you do not use GW's pictures - but instead take your own.

At least, to my understanding.

Correct me if I'm wrong though. There are a few more other shopping carts online if you hunt for them and they still stand.

BWBits did this as well before - until they went 'direct' and they had to change their model.

If GW has the power to do this well thats absurd. But to my full understanding it is an agreement you make with GW if you get supplied?

Miniatures Market, Spikey Bitz and The War Store are just three examples of large mail order vendors that respect the "no electronic shopping cart policy. You can read the explanation The War Store has posted, it's been there for years. Spikey Bitz also has a similar explanation posted online. Clearly, GW is within their legal rights to do this, it's withstood the test of time for nearly 8 years now.

I of course have no direct affiliation with DB or any other vendor, but I feel it'll be wrong to call those business illegitimate just because they don't go direct GW.
It takes SERIOUS cash to advertise on BOLS (couple $k per month).

They paid and have been on there for quite some time. They are a legit business based on appearance, and I dont know if BOLS affiliates themselves with shady business.

Though again I state I have not purchased anything from DB.

this only matters if you have a friendly local game store. I currently have no store that I play in so I buy where ever is cheapest.

this place has had a cart system for ever

There are a few stores in the UK which have a cart as well.

Actually... all of the ones I ever look at to compare prices do

Never heard anything about GW denying people from using them.

Does it count as "local" if you have to drive an hour to get there? It's almost a 100 mile round trip, lmao...

Everyone, bankrupt yourselves in the name of your store! Right.

In Europe trading terms and condition such as this would be illegal/legally questionable. A company would be putting up an unfair barrier to trade if it tried this. I guess the gw legal team know this. Whilst a supplier may refuse to sell to anyone it may not interfere with open trade. Good old so ism

Does gw really need to gain all the retail margin for itself. It worries me that the company acts as if it could not survive on wholesale income alone. I guess this is what happens when you have massive legal / marketing departments (and shareholders). I do feel the nice friendly and fun side of the hobby is been sucked into the void!
