Without wanting to jinx anything, does anyone know what the status of the game after KS fulfillment will be? Say I really like the game and want to pick up the expansions I didn't back. Will that be feasible, or will they be on the "limited edition at unpredictable intervals, on the webstore for two hours before selling out" model?
Apologies if this was officially answered somewhere and I missed it, there's rather a lot to dredge through.

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich." |

It will be interesting to see how the game will pick up post project, especially now that the core game has grown into such monstrous proportions.

I thought he stated the expansions will be done in plastic and available for sale at a later date, but at a much higher price (obviously). Don't recall a specific update/comment, but I remember feeling re-assured that I didn't add all of the expansions to my KS.

they'll be up on his website (and most likely CMON and his Japanese stockist),
but how many there will be, and whether hang around or if they'll vanish like tears in rain when the re-sellers get at them it's very hard to say,
it's certainly less likely with plastic than the LE resin,
but on the other hand with plastic sprue minimum production runs tending to be in 1000s whether he'll re-print in any bearable time frame if they do go out of print I guess overall sales will determine

Right, although to me there's a difference between "£30 single-figure expansion I can order from Amazon with free postage, perhaps even with a 20% discount", which I would wince at but possibly go for sporadically, and "$50 single-expansion figure on Poot's webstore, with $40 shipping + 20% VAT and an £8 handling fee waiting for me".
I'm not saying that Adam should be heavily discounting or aiming to fully cater to a worldwide market, but I do think that your chances are about as good with eBay resellers at that point as they are ordering direct - they'll already have at least 100% markup on their Kickstarter goods, even if they sell at RRP, and least you might be able to buy from within the EU.

I keep looking at the beautiful resins I'll never attempt to paint and remembering 'I've got a massive box full of plastic versions of this coming.' Which reminded me, we're in the midst of the two month fulfillment window.
I return from Spain June 1st. What are the odds we have an update by then?

Not very good, I'd wager.
So end of May for the first set of games. If that stays on schedule, then we might get an update by June 1st.

This is from the May releases email
Kickstarter & Pre-orders
We are waiting on some news from our printer before we post the next kickstarter update. In our next push, we will be asking everyone to verify their shipping address. Things are getting close and its extremely exciting.
We will be opening the door to public pre-orders once the fulfillment plan has been squared away. This will finally give all of the people that missed out, a chance to pick up the game and get it just behind all the backers that have been patiently waiting for its completion.
There is no set date for when pre-orders will open yet. Thank you.
When will my order ship?
High volume sales may cause shipping delays. Generally we pack and ship orders daily, however during new releases we estimate shipping delays up to 2 weeks. We apologize, please be kind to Joe as he processes and packs your order. Here is his direct line joe@kingdomdeath.com. Thank you!
KD:M Pledge Manager Issues
Please write any of your pledge manager issues to: support@kingdomdeath.zendesk.com
Be as descriptive as possible and make sure to include your pledge receipt# that was given to you when you confirmed your pledge.
Backer Change of Address
Please visit backer.kingdomdeath.com to update your mailing address. If you are a bronze, silver or gold backer (from the black friday webstore promotion) contact joe@kingdomdeath.com for details on how to log in. Thank you!

This was the interesting bit for me:
We are waiting on some news from our printer before we post the next kickstarter update. In our next push, we will be asking everyone to verify their shipping address. Things are getting close and its extremely exciting.
So given the last schedule we saw, we should have an update early next week?
I like the new miniatures shown here, but 'no game content' means an easy 'pass' for me on them - for now!

Hopefully, of course it may take a few extra days for him to compose it.
Has he mentioned anything about previewing this game at gencon? Seems like the times may work out.

He'd need to have a booth at Gen Con for that to happen, which he doesn't.
CMON will probably have a few random models, but I doubt they've got the space to host a KD launch event.. especially when its still incredibly up in the air that it'd even be ready in time.

The CMoN booth usually sells his resins and such every year anyway. I don't know if he'll be using them as a distributor for KD:Monster down the line though.
I was mostly hoping for a demo of the game itself, maybe some expansions for sale if the kickstarter stuff is delivered by then. Automatically Appended Next Post: Cyporiean wrote:He'd need to have a booth at Gen Con for that to happen, which he doesn't.

Their booth usually runs four or five demo games at a time don't they? I seem to recall them having a huge booth.
This is all just wishful thinking on my part anyway.

If we somehow have copies by then, Sinful, we can sit down and muddle through it.
CMoN should be demoing:
Wrath of Kings
Dark Age
B*Sieged
Zombicide
Xenoshyft
The Others
Rivet Wars
Kaosball
Dogs of War
I'm sure there will be one or two surprises, too.
Additionally, CMoN will be doing a CATAN-Like thing at GenCon this year where you can play their games and earn prizes for collecting so many badges, I believe. I'll know more about how that works after we do it at Origins, so I'll let everyone know.

Yeah, they've got a fairly big space this year, but a little smaller then they usually get. Lots of issues this year with folks getting smaller booths then requested or no booths at all.
And like Cincy's list shows, they've got enough to demo/sell of their own stuff.

I had forgotten about all those kickstarters. They probably will have their hands full demoing all that. Kinda insane they'll have room for it all.

That's a missed opportunity given that he looks to be ready to hit the Holiday 2015 retail season. Hopefully, he's partnered with someone else at GenCon to at least do some demos.

Eh, he would have had to have attempted to book the booth at the show last year, and then might not have lucked out. They pretty much only gave booths to folks who were there last year. The only reason we ended up getting a booth is because Bombshell minis sold us their spot.

Some choice comments Next update will have our fulfillment plan and dates. I am awaiting a core game production sample that meets our shared expectations and demands before I can make said announcements. Small rewards (pinups, promos, separate armor kits) is now in our personal warehouse and we are packing them ourselves. We have to sit tight until the printer finishes their job.
@Brian Moran, sure Brian. I'll include them in the update. @Murray Quarmby, I received a production sample on time. There were a few issues with it that got past their internal QC. Including the Vac-Tray being crushed under the weight of the content in the box, something we wouldn't know until samples made their journey over the sea. There has been some back and forth over the last few weeks as we resolved the issues. @AGN1964, the most important and really the only news we all need to hear is that containers have been loaded and are on a boat.
@Rinion to be 100% clear. We are currently waiting for a final production unit to approve. Once approved units WILL BE loaded onto a boat.

Larabic was assuming KD:M was pushing to 2016, and Adam responded with Summer 2015.
I'm assuming the first container (US) hits the water at the end of summer, with end delivery (US) through the fall.

My sense is that US will go first, what with the US being his largest market, where he has the most experience. He as enough on his plate for end delivery, without adding international complications to boot (soon, though). Let's just see some stuff in backer hands!
