So whenever I go to work on my minis, I have a choice of listening to either classical music on the radio, the Dawn of War 2 soundtrack, or the heavy metal band Bolt Throwers. What do you listen to while assembling/painting/modelling, if anything?

Techno and 8-bit music myself. But that's what I listen to pretty much constantly.

Down of War or Starcraft 2 soundtrack... it inspires me.

this. though my music library only houses songs of around ten punk bands, so there's a lot of repeating.

I actually paint, assemble and whatnot to Starcraft 2 e-sports commentary. Works really well until I start missing important and normally awesome moves by the players.

I don't listen to music while painting. I do often have some movie running in the background though.

Bolt Thrower! Awesome. I believe Space Marines play Bolt Thrower when doing their holy benedictions and worship.

I like metal of all kinds, electronic and classic.

Also listen to audiobooks and radio plays, talk radio etc.

The DoW soundtracks though? Euuurrhhgg! They're awful, so boring and non-committal, generic sounding. I always turn that off when playing DoW and listen to some Bolt Thrower or metal instead.

I'd have to agree with that Cave_Dweller, i find all game tracks awfully dull. Metal all the way!

I listen to Classical music, The Electric Light Orchestra ( orchestrated rock), and the Sins of a Solar Empire Soundtrack. Also a variety of other classic rock bands. Personally, I find TV and movies to distracting to have on when I'm painting.

The radio's usually fine for me, but if I'm into a band at the time I'll probably stick their latest album on repeat for the duration- Ladytron and Daft Punk right now with a splash of Pink Floyd. Anything really, just as long as its not rap or metal...or I'll likely end up cutting myself more than the models. ¬¬

Well, that would make me sad panda, too. If I bought the Dawn of War 2 soundtrack. Actually, I downloaded it for free from the DOW2 website, no charge whatsoever.
Personally, I always love listening to the soundtrack to any game I like, especially the Final Liberation soundtrack (forgot to mention that earlier), which is awesome sauce.
