The fluff for my space marine army (my fluff, not official) puts a SOB Canoness squarely in my command squad. Please don't argue the point... don't want to debate it at this point.

What I'm looking for is the most butt kicking Canoness model out there to take her place in the squad. Trick is she need to be able to be outfitted (weapons-wise) as one of the marines in the squad so she can meet couts-as/WYSIWYG standards for a marine in the squad. (i.e. I can't do two flamer pistols)

I'm not familiar with the SOB line and while I can/will poke around on the GW web site myself, I thought getting some opinions from the assembled dakka masses would be worthwhile. I'm a decent converter and can do more than simple weapon swaps if called for.

Any suggestions? Pics are welcome. OOP stuff is OK too as there's always the net for hunting down old models. Note: A sister superior model would work just as well for my purposes.

Many thanks,
Gits

There's a few classic sister superior models armed with bolt guns and the odd power weapon out there. There's also Celestine, but you'd have to bend her feet so as she's not hovering so much. You could of course just convert her from a plastic Eldar or Dark Eldar model, or even a Dark Elf one-just add a backpack, greenstuff some cloth and whatever dangly bits you want to and your set. One of the more recent sisters superiors could work too, with or without a bit of greenstuff. Uh and if your more into the warrior nun look there's always the Sisters of Sigmar from Mordheim, or Amazons if you have decent sculpting skills (as in sculpt on some armour, the loin cloths are already there).

You could also just use a standard Sister with bolter to represent the Sister Superior. It will stand out enough from normal Space Marines that it won't confuse anyone.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Boy, that first one looks like a real tight *ss.... perfect for the role, all I have to do is change the gun. She' like a Catholic school marm/nun gone bad... with a gun and a pointy ruler to smack you with. My next favorite is the 4th one. I think the 5th one is my current canoness (or something very close to her).

I'd looked through the Sister Superiors... but I'd totally missed that inquisitor. THAT'S why I asked for opinions on the forum!

Yeah I like the Inquisitor as well, and the canoness isn't bad either, the others are a bit meh, but thought I'd post em anyways.

Nice model (checked her out) but harder to convert into a viable marine command squad member. And I'm just not into the burning flame thing... it's why I didn't choose the actual canoness figure in the first place.

If you're not into the actual canoness because of the flamey backpack, that's a separate piece that could easily be replaced by one of the standard SoB packs. Or just about any backpack for that matter, I guess. Also, if I recall correctly both of her hands are separate pieces too, and she comes with a number of options for each one.
