Any of you seen/used these rules in play?
Are they fairly balanced and would you let me use them?

I am thinking of puchasing about 5 boxes of kroot at the weekend, impulse ftw!

There was a Chapter Approved Kroot Merc army list published years ago.

I haven't seen that or your fan list.

In general I would be happy to give an off piste list a whirl in a friendly game. I would be rather surprised to find it well balanced.

If you buy a lot of Kroot you can use them in Tau armies too.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Ahhh thanks. This does seem like a fairly balanced codex, admittedly little or no armour saves for anything, but reading through some physic powers I think that makes up for it, let the merc fest commence!

Fan codecies are as acceptable as one wants them to be, but obviously the same applies for ones opponent.

Browsed through the 5th edition link for this codex, and honestly it seems rather fair, if not a touch underpowered. Too bad it specifically mentions that Tau cannont utilize the "Mercenary" option. I would love to play test the Master Shaman as a 2nd HQ in my 2000 point list, and have him join one of my massive Kroot blobs.

I have used that codex a few times in friendly games and my opponents have had no problems with it.
