Ok,so I'm lacking ideas here and I need YOUR help.

Basic premise: I'm making Belial Master of the deathwing and I'm using the chaos terminator lord as my base model. blue-tac WiP seen here:



What I want your brains to help me come up with ideas for is:
- Is the head ok? Other good ideas?
- The chaos detailing have/will be scraped of, what should I cover it with.
- I will "repair" the torn cape with green stuff, any ideas what to paint there? Single colour or freehnad something?
- I'm missing a shoulder pad with the crux terminatus, what should I use instead? (or should I jsut look one up on ebay?)
- Other cool ideas to make it pop?

There's a hooded head that looks good for Belial. It's on the Ravenwing sprue.

If you can, get the forgeworld deathwing shoulder pads. Those add a lot of character!

Looks good. Only gripe is the way the head is angled. I'd have him looking more to the front.

It needs a flesh head. The standard space marine helmet really makes no sense.

Yeah, I think a hood would be a great way to add some personality.

Can you add something on his back to make a more interesting silhouette? Either a banner or an icon of some sort? Maybe even wings.

But overall it looks great so far.

Head: I would try a space marine face or any random terminator head. What you got looks fine but I just don't like the look of a normal marine head on a terminator of any kind.

Chaos details cover: If you pickup the Dark Angel upgrade kit from GW or buy a box of Dark Angel Vets you'll get the same thing. The bits that come with it should be helpful in covering it.

Cape: If anything I would freehand a Deathwing Symbol on it. I did it on a flag recently simple and effective.

Shoulder: I would try to put the crux on it. I have not seen a single terminator model without one, except for grey knights.

Other: He already pops just because you used the chaos terminator lord. First thing I thought when I saw it was "Where he did get those LCs from!?"

Either way I hope this helps my Belial is just the old Space Marine Captain with his arms cut off and replaced with LCs. After seeing yours I wish I looked around a little more before I decided.

Hmmm a hooded head? While I do see the appeal in that I'm worrying that the hood will just come up out of nowhere, or should I make a robe as well as use the cape?

I really don't enjoy unhelmeted heads so that's why I tried a standard head with a little character... but maybe it's too out of place.

Banner or wings... will think about that one, keep the good ideas coming.

I've seen termies with hooded heads, even in the codex. You could always greenstuff robes over the terminator armor if you're good enough.

The head is ok you just have to trim the neck part on the bottom to get it to fit correctly into a termi body. Those Lc's are the best one's to use for him. As for the Crux you should have one but he his a special character and if you have 2 really hot looking shoulder pads I think not having a crux will be fine. Something like scibors shoulder pads that he makes, they are not cheap but are beautiful looking. The ravenwing bits sprue has some unique looking heads that have DA iconography on them. As for the hooded head I think it doesnt look right on a termi. The ripped cloak is no biggie, he's a warrior his armor is not going to look pristine. As for a banner using the Empire banner bit that has an angel of death on it would be perfect for Belial
