I looked at that and vomited. My gal is trying to pick up dark eldar because she thinks a lot of the models are quite beautiful, and elegantly designed. This is not. The one good thing coming is that they are releasing a Succubus model with this advanced order. Though I would've preferred less beast models.

It's a Clawed Fiend, one of the possible xenos beats for the Beastmaster.
I actually like it but i have no intention to ever buy one.

It's a fan service nod to 3rd edition, where the "Donorian Clawed Fiend" made an appearance in the little sketch of various Xenos like Kroot, Hrud, Necrons, etc.

But they did a bit of a redesign too. Kinda like it. Pissed off space gorilla with a tail.

It screams "Beast that'll rip your throat out" to me. Surel that's the whole point of the Beasts in a DE army?

Cmon you don't want some adorable kitten that turns into a giant plain of teeth when you provoke it (though I would buy DE just for that model

).

Its just so sort of...generic. It's not awful, but is sure isn't pretty.

The more I see this model the less I like it.
Not the best of recent GW work.

The head bears no reletion to the rest of the sculpt. Doubtless someone will say it is a mutant and is meant to be composite.
But it still looks like it has been designed like one of those 50's B Movie aliens where a man in a gorilla suit sticks a goldfish bowl on his head.
Because they just happened to be available.

It will be a candidate in a future far off Dakka thread, "What is your Worst Model?"

Actually, I think it's a pretty good model and could be put to many uses (if it wasn't for the price anyway).

I'm more concerned about the OP's (IMHO) overreacted and inability to be conservative with the use of exclamation and question marks.

Combined with being metal and hence a weightier price tag is causing the real dissent.

If the rules are so awesome people will either buy them or make cheaper substitutes.

For instance I've made my own Hive Guard because I don't like the official model and it is expensive.

At first I thought they had screwed up the email by placing fantasy pics in place of DE goodness.

After clicking through and seeing that yes indeed that is what the models look like my next thought was, "I guess Jes was busy on a different project. Hope it's the necrons."

Wonderful models. However I'm not willing to pay for them, especially the Razorwing flock. They make Nurglings seem cheap. Chimaera though looks like it can be made from kitbashing Dire Wolves and Nid parts. The Clawed Fiend looks like it can be made from Rat Ogres from IoB.

I’m glad I’m not using any of these models, their all too expensive and most of them lock ridiculous. I’ll be using a converted Tyranid Warrior to represent the Clawed Fiend while the 10 Khymera will be represented by Chaos War hounds.
