Valve will fix that soon, THQ will have already told them. I didnt preorder though, a shame.

I'm in the Beta right now, and it's quite good. I'm very happy with my preorder.

There are some odd changes here and there, some of which people aren't happy about, but overall the game is a major improvement.

AKA it's a good buy and worth looking into.

I hope we get a day 1 patch; theres still some glaring problems in the beta.

From my understanding, the only thing I won't be able to do is play it online.

It requires Steam to unlock it in order to launch the game regardless of whether you want to play SP or MP. Otherwise all steam users could play it on SP for the remaining 1 week. Sorry Kan, but as was said, this just means you have a fancy new box for that extra week. I guess you can get a head start on the install though.

The game will require activation to actually play. You may get the game earlier but the actual release for NA is march 1st, which means if you have the box on the 27th, you can't play it at all until the 1st.

Steam is a good thing and is pretty much responsible for PC gaming being as strong as it is right now. Don't knock it.
