Maybe I'm weird, but I just never thought .Hack was very good. I've never played the games, so maybe they're a lot better. But Sign I found fairly boring to watch until the last quarter of the series and I've just never bothered watching the others.

Caught the first episode of Log Horizon and that's pretty much the definition of generic. Want to talk about a .Hack rip off it's complete with a mage main character with a crescent staff and a cat person XD

.hack// has a deep and mature story that requires the viewer to think. Not to mention it has a more accurate depiction of how MMORPGs are really like (I can tell - I'm a Ragnarok veteran).

Maybe the series as a whole, but Sign seemed like it was just a bunch of people walking around talking about the obvious like it was some great revelation till it approached the final stretch.

Then again maybe I need to rewatch it XD It's been more than a few years.

Yeah, it was kinda slow and dialogue-heavy, but I was entranced by the music when I watched it for the first time. It also led me to start playing MMORPGs too. It was only when I was in high school that I began to enjoy the show itself. I doubt if it's possible to understand and enjoy the show in just one go.

Same complaints about Kill La Kill, I like it... except for the damn costume.

Nagi no Asukara is cute, but the kind of cute that I will probably end up dropping by the middle of it's run, I like the world, I like the characters, I hate the way they're setting up the romance drama.

Golden Time meanwhile seems like it's going to be quite enjoyable and I look forward to seeing more of it. Still haven't gotten to Log Horizon yet.

Question on Roberta's blood Trail. How many actual episodes are there?

The site I watched it on only had 5 Episodes, but they were numbered 25 through 29. It didn't seem like there was any missing story, but the opening sequences had the same numbers on them.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

It's an OVA series so it's probably numbered as an attachment to the anime series (random guess being it was released between seasons 2 and 3).

I thought there already was one but apparently my anime stream site lists Roberta's Blood Trail as 'Black Lagoon 3.' So I guess it just comes after Season 2.

Its still an ongoing Manga IIRC, so we will probably see something eventually.

The manga was on a very long hiatus (3 years I think), which probably explains in part the lack of more episodes.

I hate it when people leave unfinished stuff just laying around.

I hate it even more when the author dies leaving the work unfinished.

Well it's not always their fault. The author of Highschool of the Dead was killed in the tsunami (sad face). I actually can't find why Black Lagoon went on hiatus back in 2010, but the author apparently has a habit of not finishing his work. Tite Kubo recently took a very brief break and who can blame him? he's been chucking out Bleach chapters for years now XD

Then you might not like reading Berserk if you want to.

Possibly. Apparently, the creator of the manga has finally decided to continue writing the series.

Meaning we may see a 3rd season in approximately...2-infinity years.

No one else mentioned Strike the Blood yet. Saw the first episode of that and liked it. Demons, monsters, ect living on an island. Most powerful one a high school boy who doesn't realize How powerful he is. Skilled but naive girl sent to keep an eye on him. Seems a bit on the cliche side, but looked entertaining. A bit of blatant fan service, and it sounds like that's going to be a continuing thing.

And Zero no Tsukaima. The author died due to cancer with 2 volumes remaining (his own words), and apparently he was on-record saying that he already knew how he was going to write both volumes. He just needed to get well enough to do the work. Now it will forever remain incomplete because those damn researchers haven't found a cure yet. ................ I am joking. I know it is really hard work.

I caught it and it was cheesy for me. I'll probably keep watching cause it looks like one of those shows that screws around for half the series and then gets really good towards the end.

That turned out to be just a rumor. HotD chapter 30 of the manga came out in April, but there's been a silence since.

It 's awesomer than a armored firebereathing T-Rex riding a giant Harley.
The suspension of disbelief starts to go with Roberta tearing apart machetes with her teeth though.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:

I think you did it a bit of a disservice with this summary Aduro, the fan service was minimal, though hapless protagonist san is gonna get plenty of pervert jokes. Strongly reminds me of Demon King Daimao but I'm hoping it doesn't lean quite as heavily on the harem/sex comedy. Over all, it's on my watch list and I have middlin hopes for a decent season.

Also watched the first episode of Gingitsune: Messenger Fox of the Gods. It brought back fond memories of spending time at Inari shrines around the Japanese country side. It looks like it's gonna be a cute little slice of life with some fun cultural learning options here and there.

I second Strike the Blood being similar to Demon King Daimao though I instantly disliked Daimao but this one at least makes we want to give more eps a shot.

I think I am set to enjoy Strike the Blood muck more then DKD.

On another note, any one else watched the first ep of Walkure Romanze aka Valkyrie Romance yet? This anime is so weird. It's cute girls, harem style rom com, but the girls are all knights and they're jousting as part of High School? Or something?

I have NO idea what's going on to be honest. There's plenty of fanservice, terribly designed armor (boob plates galore!) an initial "villain" with some very frilly underwear (someone was having a "I need to feel extra sexy today" moment), an extremely aggressive, possibly perveted horse that shares at least part of a name with the female lead, a brooding hero who hung up his lance and became a simple groomsman/squire (the anime persists in using a German sounding term I didn't quite catch) and again, jousting in a world where most of the women ride horses in miniskirts with their armor on over their school uniforms.
