.....Was that too teeny-bopper-ish? Sorry. I've just very recently started my own Skaven army and I'm thoroughly addicted. They are by far, some of my favorite models to paint to date.

Plague Furnace looks ace so far! I'm dying over the green you got on the fumes of goodness. But I can't just focus on one thing on that model. I love the mice (yes rats, but mice sounds cuter) and the rocks and the ropes. It's all just....ugh, don't have words for it. *Subscribed!*

Not much progress as for last few days the builders have been round and I had to packup my gear. Here's WIP of my "Counts as" Thanquol and Bone Ripper or a bonebreaker and seer . Need to tidy chains and green stuff a little. Got a little box of awesomeness from eBay which had OOP Fantasy Skaven and Mordheim Skaven

Lots of stuff seems to be happening lately... work and also more tragedy. Hasn't left any hobby time of late. Got some more bits to add to the growing pile I like to call the "Untouchables". Picked up a Skaven Blood Bowl team with added mutants for the great price of £15. And boy were they painted heavy with some added gloss. After 24hours in my chosen stripping mix they look like they have just been removed from their box! Hope to provide some updates over coming weeks.. Sorry for the lack of update...

Again like I've said in my DKOK thread I have finally had a little hobby time again and hope to keep it regular again. Here is a VERY WIP Sneak peak at a project I'm working on. Lots will be added, Really enjoying working on the Skaven, they are such a fun army!

Me and the lady have got into Malifaux! So I thought I better start making terrain. I'm working on the Ortega's and the lady is working on some Neverborn... more updates soon

Cool, be nice to see your take on the terrain. Is Malifaux based on steampunk? Ive been looking for ages for some decent steampunk themed terrain to inspire my Warmahordes scenery building, but its very scarce :(

From what I have seen/read Malifaux is a mixture of Wild West, Steampunk and Victorian era stuff. I was and still might go down the route of wild west stuff like Saloons etc but add some steam power stuff. Although its not a great photo and has a way to go before finished I have made it so all the floors lift out so our models can face off on any floor! Going to make it sand textured and coloured.

The Fiancee is really liking Malifaux. We saw it at Salute in London and when she looked at the models and read the fluff she really loved it. She was starting up a 40k Daemons army and has a few Slaanesh bits but has been put off by the prices and amount she would need to invest to build a sizable army. Where as in Malifaux you pretty much need to spend £25 and you are all set!

No date for the wedding as yet. Will be sometime within next year and a half

Have you looked into Warmachine and Hordes? A nice system, but can get fairly expesive as well i suppose.

Im still undecided as yet of how to approach GWs money-grabbing. Knowing me i'll just keep shelling out the cash though!

Lovely plague furnace but aren't the rat monks a bit hard to see when they are so similiar in colour to the wood of the machine?
And Malifaux terrain! Exciting! I've been looking at that system myself. It seems very interesting and the fluff does seem cool, especially the steampunk meets the wild west twist.

As I collect an all FW 40k army it doesn't affect me bigtime. I'm still annoyed about it all though. In a way it will make me spend more.... with FW as I think I'd rather spend the extra to buy one of thye DKOK pattern Russ tanks rather than a normal one from a store
