I am placing Tau next week and this is the scenario:
Kill Points, Table Quarters, Capture the Hill.
For each turn that you are on the hill (presumably in the center of the map) you get 1 KP
If you are on the hill at the end of the game you get 2 KP.
If you kill an enemy HQ, you get 2 KP instead of one.
Should I drop my Second CCS for a Veteran Squad, seeing as how he will get 2 KP for killing my CCS?
Also, since the Chimera is the dedicated transport for the HQ, does that mean he gets 4 KP for each Chimera w/ CCS that he kills?

That's a lot of KP you have there, but almost inevitable for IG.
Yes, he will get KP for the chimera and the CCS inside if he kills both, but still worth it I think.
If you get that 30 man blob on the hill, then I can't see him removing them. Just order "incoming" on them and sit them there ...
If worries about KP then I would look at the SWS, HWS and stormies as they are the most vulnerable. If it's capture and hold then I am not sure of how much the stormies will help and the extra meltas will also be qustionable as I assume Tau will be staying well back with broadsides etc.
For the points you could get another vendetta in there.

Speaking as a Tau player, you should have absolutely no problem parking yourself on the objective and winning this game. The scenario you described is almost tailor made for an IG win.
You might as well get hammered drunk before this one, because impaired judgement is the only way Tau have a chance to keep your entire army off of one singular objective. Tau win objective games by hitting what you are guarding the least, and contesting with their superior mobility.
They can't do that here.

Yeah, I agree, the tau are going to have a tough time of it.
You do know that a CCS only counts as one KP, though, right? Unless you were talking about the chimera too, or something.
Anyways, the list looks unfocused, but, as mentioned, shouldn't have much of a problem against tau on this mission type. Just part the infantry on the objectives and use the support to kill things that are good against the infantry, and you should be fine.
