After the Demonhunters a xenos race is due for an update right?

So that means the necrons.

But with the Orcs and goblins, Demonhunters and tomb kings that means the Crons will be near the end of the year right?

And with 40k due for another edition in 2012 that means they will have rules made for this edition that may well become useless in a few months after their release.

I'm both orderly and rational. I value control, information, and order. I love structure and hierarchy, and will actively use whatever power or knowledge I have to maintain it. At best, I am lawful and insightful; at worst, I am bureaucratic and tyrannical.

What are you basing this information on? Nothing has been confirmed and nothing is known so speculating about possible timelines is exactly that; speculation.

Ignoring the fact that there's no way to know at this point when Necrons will be update, you don;t have to worry about them being immediately invalidated as soon as 6th Ed. comes out if they are released late in the cycle.

The design team does not seem to push out the codices up until an arbitrary time and then decide "well, maybe we should come up with the next edition now..." Despite all the lambasting they get from the community there's a good chance the design team has been monitoring how 5th ed. has been played, and have been thinking about what changes they'd like to make in 6th for a while now. This means of course, that by the time the last few codices come out, there's a good chance the writer already knows what 6th will look like. The last few codices will be written with the next edition in mind. Look at 4th ed. Orks and Eldar. The formatting is much more like that which you see in the post-5th ed. books.

Codexes that appear at the end of editions tend to be built with the newer edition in mind, so there's no way it will be screwed over due to game mechanics. Just look at the Ork Codex, it was the last of the 4th edition codexes to be written, but it's pretty much entirely in the style of 5th.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
