I've been playing more of the HD Remix version of the game, especially now I found the option to put on classic music.

One thing I notice about it and newer games: Damage is way up, attacks hit hard and are over quickly, and matches can swing if the player makes a comeback.

Who do/did you use when you play this game?

Currently, my main character is probably Chun-Li recently. I can make do with most characters bar a few I have no idea what to do with.

Does the original count on SNES? I have that. Or does the turbo version count either?

I used Zangeif or Blanka a lot.

Expect my posts to have a bazillion edits. I miss out letters, words, sometimes even entire sentences in my points and posts.

All version of SF2 count. It was one of the first games with really good (and accurate) console ports.

I think I first played Super (New Challengers) on the SNES.

Things like Turbo you would call things like Expansion packs.

The last of which (apart from the HD remix and the compilation game which you could play all versions of the characters) was Super [SF2] Turbo (X in Japan), which introduced the Super bar.

Ye Gods - SF2 on SNES. I made it my life's quest one summer holidays to finish the game on level 8 with every single character.

I managed it too, although Dhalsim and Zangief were an absolute nightmare...

The AI on some of the SF2 ones are insane.

It's like they're programmed (literally) if player does X, punish with Y.

And they cheat, doing charge moves without having to charge.

I have cussed at this game so much in years past it isn't even funny. My favorite computer cheat (happened in player vs. player a lot too) was when I would do a jumping kick and my character's foot would be maybe a inch from the other character's forehead. They would be doing the same move only lower down, yet I would take the hit. How the hell is that possibly!?

That would be to do with the hitboxes, and remember that several characters have the same animation for different moves (e.g. light and medium kicks may be the same) but the hitbox would be different.

Also depends on your own vulnerable frames and what you're doing.
