I was curious if anyone has tried attaching multiple characters to Mephiston or Sanguinor. Its really not practical in any way, shape, or form but it sounds like a lot of fun. Try this

Sanguinor

Libby with JP
-Epistolary
-Might
-Unleash rage

3 Sang priests with JP and Pweaps

Chaplain with JP

Attach all the characters to Sanguinor and shove them in a Stormraven. Fly up, dump them out and charge something. Libby gets into base with an enemy character, and uses might on Sanguinor. Sanguinor swings with 6+d3 attacks at st6 in7. The Priests and chaplain all swing with 5 St5 In5 attacks, and the libby swings with 5 St5 In5 attacks at the character. All of the hits are rerollable thanks to the chaplain this round. If the libby gets one attack past any invuln saves on the character, uses his second power to drop him with the force weapon. Thats a mess of attacks. Again, not at all that functional, but dang it looks like fun. Drop one priest for a second chaplain for more invulns. Anyways, just a thought. Does it look like fun to anyone else?

Well, Mephiston can't attach to anything...

And isn't the Sanguinor Jump Infantry? If he is, you wouldn't be able to put him in a storm raven.

Actually Dash, The Sanguinor can go in the Storm Raven-its rules allow jump infantry to enter it, they just take up two slots in it. But yeah, he can't join units anyway, so the OPs idea wouldn't work

As for a doomstar, a good one I've seen is:

5x TH/SS terminators, 1 sang priest w/ PW, 1 librarian w/ rage + 1 other power, 1 chaplain, and plug in someone else if you like inside a LRC. Its very costly, but dominates whatever it hits (12 rerollable PW attacks followed by 15 rerollable str 9 thunderhammers? pwnage)

I don't like to use more than a priest + 1 IC normally in a squad tho, puts too many eggs in a basket

I go for the following

Astorath
5 Death Company
- Jump Packs
- 2 Power Weapons
- Power Fist
- Hand Flamer

The DC already pack a hard punch in CC, thats before they're boosted by Astorath to re-roll hits and wounds. Astorath also boosts the CC potential of all your BA units. The Executioner's Axe also provides a bonus against any tough, Invun-packing units, such as TH/SS Termies or Fortuned Jetseers.

Actually... You are all wrong about attaching. Yes Mephiston and Sanguinor are not IC's so they cannot attach to anything. BUT they are a unit of one model. So other IC's can attach to them. Hence my original idea. Its the same as a Thunderwolf Lord attaching to a unit of one thunderwolf cav or an Ironpriest on TW.

Go back and read it again, and then tell me what you think.

er no IC cannot join units of always only one model (they can join to units of one that could be bigger) . So no it doesn't work. Even if it did I shoot them with rubbish and laugh.
