DC: The Storm Strider represents the largest battlefield implementation of Stormsmith technology, so it's only natural that Cygnar's battle engine bears some resemblance in game play to the Stormsmith Storm Tower light artillery. The power of the lightning fields drawn to this towering storm's eye exceed those of smaller lightning staves or rods, and the nimbus of voltaic energy surrounding the tower focuses the electrical blasts of nearby Storm Knights on Cygnar's foes.

As with all the battle engines, the Storm Strider went through numerous changes throughout the development and playtest cycle, but the true constant was its ability to send powerful bolts of lightning arcing deep into enemy lines. Unlike artillery models, though, there are a number of good reasons to get the Storm Strider into the action. As noted above, it assists nearby Storm Knight blasts, but it also builds up an increasing static charge from enemy attacks. This causes a damaged Storm Strider to become more and more deadly as the battle progresses—this poor Winter Guard can certainly tell you all about that.

Really? Looks a bit more like something Tesla would've designed and hence been American used.

Well, according to totally made-up gaming laws in regards to WWII Weird Science, Tesla weaponry is used by the Soviets, because Tesla was a Russian, but they always ignore the part where he went to the USA and was bullied by that donkey Edison.

Actually, Tesla was born in the Austrian Empire territory that is now Croatia and an Austrian citizen before moving to America, NOT Russian. His only semi-Russian connection is that he's of Serbian ethnicity.

Actually, Dystopian Wars has the Prussians use Tesla weapons, not the Americans.
Anyway, take Benjamin Franklin or Edison instead, also genious inventors working with electricity.

Well, it's a big giant electrical ball that collects sky lightning and gives off a static charge to all the nearby fighters. Yeah, big time static lightning...hehe...all on 4 little legs, towering above the battlefield. Boy I bet our enemies will want to shoot it! Anyways, up you two go.

that is a cool looking model though, even if it is amazingly inappropriate for any sort of warfare involving gunpowder weapons, or really any missile weapons.

Then again, who cares?! It is so cool!

Mostly resin, some parts will be metal. Mainly the pilots and their control sticks.

I could defiantly use this as some form of Daemon engine, just add some Chaos symbols and replace the Crew with Tech priests.
