Really nice paintjobs I particularly like the one with the 2 tone mask. Not sure about the pose of the bald guy he looks like he is falling over.

Yeah he falls over constantly. But I did get him a nice weight to weigh down his base. Hopefully that will help.

Very nice but the sword could possibly have used a wash

Very nice! I particularly like the ivory tone on the white masks. They look nice and white without looking unfinished, which is always the danger with white.

What technique did you use for the diamonds? Is it just straight brush work, or did you mark them with a pencil or any other tool?

@Raen - I will wash the swords, I agree they need something.

@Mannahnin - I based of course with the lighter color, and on the larger areas like the legs, I lightly penciled in the lines. Then I painted the blue diamonds, fixed up whatever green needed fixing and then painted the thin black lines.

These guys remind me of Dark Eldar with the black and green scheme going on, still look pretty cool though

I really like the paint job but my only criticism would be that they look to uniform all having the same scheme. I picture harlequins as a riot of different colors and patterns.

@Oriallis - Well they are for a Dark Eldar army so thats a good thing

@misfit - I am planning on having 30 clowns on the table, 10 will be checkered with this color scheme, 10 will be striped with another, and the last 10 will have polka dots with yet another color scheme. I figure it would be easier to group them up that way and still give them some differences

I was disappointed when I saw they weren't actual clowns, like Orks with red noses and oversized shoes, but they're beautifully painted!

Thank you! I have to work on the weapons and get a bit more done on the cloth, but overall I am very happy with how they turned out

Thanks again The checkers almost drove me insane! I still have 7 more minis to paint in this pattern, so we'll see if I'm still able to type coherently afterwards

Sweet. You wouldn't consider taking pics when you do the next unit, and writing up a step by step tutorial, would you? Pretty please, with sugar on top?

I would be happy to. I have 2 more plain clowns to do along with the troupe master, the shadowseer and the death jester, so I don't think that should be a problem
