After I googled for a Ghost in the shell 3rd GiG and acutually found something,

I also found that trailer:

and somehow it reminds me (partly) of 40k. Is it just me?

what a load of crap that movie looks lol..

I often wonder if hollywood (or where ever) spent the budget of crap movies, how many starving kids they could save.. for example "Grindhouse" couple o hundred thousand kids maybe.. food for thought

yup i am kinda done with the whole super powered angsty teen movies, no matter how nice the visuals are, and since the preveiws made it sound like all the fantasy stuff ( dragons, and nazi-samurai thingies ) are just her imaginary constructs....it just hits me as a waste of my time, even if it has women in schoolgirl outfits swinging katannas....meh

I guess I am just getting to old

I like the premise for Suckerpunch.

It being the lead girl is trying to escape an asylum, and the adventures in her head that take place as she tries to free herself.

Its an escapist fantasy. It is not claiming to make any sense. It is a person's imagination let loose.

Bam, said the lady!

Eye of Terra.

Another chick weilding a sword and kicking ass movie.

Hey, at least she wasn't wearing a de rigueur skin-tight outfit while doing it!!

Wait... maybe it was a schoolgirl outfit... eh, perfect for manga-esque work!

This won't be one I'll care to see. I got over my date-less nights and pimples years ago.

But enough cynicism, don't see it as 40k although there was one individual who did remind me of some kind Imperial Guard trooper... looked kinda cool. The special effects look top-notch, at least in the trailer.

How the hell does this remind you of 40k in any way, shape, or form?

The Death Korps of Kreig-looking soldiers in a couple of images reminded me of 40K but that's about it. Otherwise, this movie looks pretty bad.

I think those were the Samurais with Chain guns.

The only connection to 40k this movie has is that they both contain gratuitous violence and combat.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

That is what I was thinking...

800 brethren and 2,000 other personnel were expected to reach Crows World within no more than 12 hours. They never arrived.

Let the Bell toll for those that encounter us, not for what we have encountered!

That's kind of a stretch; the SS Doomtrooper "Nazis with gasmasks" thing is a pretty commonly recurring trope.
