Subject: Is anyone experiencing significant delays with their Forgeworld orders?

As the title says, it's been nearing two months since I placed a Forge World order for 3 Leman Russes and some bits.
I emailed them about this after about a month, and they told me to email them again a week after their customary 28-day shipping time. I proceeded to do that, then emailed them again 2 weeks after the second inquiry (which was three days ago, putting the grand total to 49 days).
I'm curious if anyone (on the US side) is having trouble getting their orders, or even getting a response about the waiting time. Maybe I'm just being impatient, but I am growing quite concerned as that was the biggest Forge World order I've made to date.
Thanks

Their email is known to be lousy. Call them. Some items are slow to be produced and shipped though.

Hello,
Well be glad you know thier oarent company is not going under,, because from a accounting standpoint this would be one of the signs. I have had them take up to 2 months though.

My Mega-Dread took almost two months to arrive. I sent an email to FW, and a few days after the Dread showed up, I got this reply...
"Thank you for your email. I just wanted to see if your order had now arrived. There has been a delay in the delivery of mail to the US due to change in the way mail is delivered. Homeland Security lowered the weight limit and the size of mail allowed to enter the US on passenger planes, but didn't inform anyone about this. What this caused was a massive back log of mail, as more cargo aircraft had to be sheduled to deliver this mail. The knock on effect was that mail was taking 30-40 days to be delivered instead of 12-14 working days. "
Granted, the email I sent was quite professionally worded, in a concerned manner...rather than a nerd-rage gesture demanding a response. Not accusing the OP of that. So I guess we can blame da gub'ment...
Hope that helps...it should still arrive...

Everything I've been sending to the US lately has been taking AGES. 3-4 weeks minimum.

It's been running about three weeks for me. That may or may not have anything to do with Forge World.

Keep annoying them if they never get it too. If they don't for like a year, they will assume it got lost of something and send you replacements and if you are lucky, you'll get both.

My order took 8 days from placing it and thats from england to alaska, and they responded to my Email within 30minutes ( I was missing 2 parts for my xv-9s )
My order was a very large one though, maybe they prioritize based on that...although I can't imagine a company doing that, even a smaller one such as forgeworld.
But as for me I have no complaints.

Same experience with trades/ebay here - A lot of stuff is getting sent via ship as opposed to airmail according to royal mail.
All to do with weight allowwances and stricter screening of all packages.

The Orks are the pinnacle of creation. For them, the great struggle is won. They have evolved a society which knows no stress or angst. Who are we to judge them? We Eldar who have failed, or the Humans, on the road to ruin in their turn? And why? Because we sought answers to questions that an Ork wouldn't even bother to ask! We see a culture that is strong and despise it as crude.
