It was a Gamecube game and they made a wii version.

Wondering if anybody finished it and what your day count was. I loved this game and got mine down to 13 or 14 days at my best. Just wanted to see if anybody got as into it as I did.

I have only ever played the second one.

I thought it was fun, but seeing as I got my gamecube used and bundled with a large number of games which included both metroid primes (at that time) all the zelda games, RE4, starfox assault, etc... it sadly got little playtime from me and I have yet to finish it.

Also I got an xbox a year or so latter so I was knee deep in covenant forces for the longest time.

I played the Gamecube one, enjoyed it. Was happy when they put Olimar in Brawl, but I don't really play anymore.

This would be a video games topic.

Love those games with a fervent passion! Got my day count on the first game to 15 days and 10-17 pikmin deaths. Played through both more times then I would admit if I even knew the number. I'm currently waiting on pikmin 3 ....as I have been for...8 years now?

Played both never finished either, then got them again for the Wii but only really just play multiplayer versus of the second.

I've not played it, but it did look interesting.

If you like it, try the Overlord games - similar idea, but EVIL!

Yeah, they're great. And had some good times with the multiplayer in the second one.

I've heard they're very good, although I've never played them I'm an avid nintendo fan. I really don't know why I haven't played them yet.

Tried playing it once the I realized you're timed to beat the game never played it again. (hate being timed into doing stuff )

Hardly remember my fastest time, but yeah this game was awesome. The original game was, IMHO, the best, but the second one wasn't bad at all.

Didn't get to play much of the multiplayer, would still like to try it.

I was worried about that at first too but as long as you don't suck its not a problem. I hate being timed too but in this case it actually added a lot to the game - gave it a sense of urgencey.

Pikmin 2 had a timer, but you didn't loose the game if you took too long. It was a mean of scoring your game.

The first Pikmin was amazing. The second one was also great.

I actually liked the second better because you didn't have limited time. Although to be fair they give you plenty of time in the original. 30 days, but you can beat it with all the parts in 10-15 days.


I just liked the new Pikmin, more treasures, caves, and two player of the sequel.

I was 9 at the time, and the game-cube was my first video-game console so I'm hoping my skill has improved considerably since then.

Played both, have yet to fully complete 2. Really fun, plenty of OMGWTF moments especially for the bosses. Really surprised when I figured out that the pikmin 2 maps were changed up 1 maps

Played both of them but i forget the times i finished them in, spent most of my time just getting them to eat everything and playing muliplayer, was a laugh

I love Pikmin! I never got around to getting my own copy but when I visit a friend of mine I play his copy... It would be great to play it again.

I really hope they release Pikmin 2 for the wii like they did in Japan. That may get us a wii exclusive Pikmin 3.
Really liked the purple and white pikmin they added to 2. Hope they add 1 or 2 more in 3. Maybe a green one or something.
